Personally, myself being trained to wield all sorts of firearms. I bieleve that a person should have the right to own guns only if they are properly trained. And i agree with the first couple of posts felons and criminals should not be able to obtian firearms.
Lets say by chance, someone does spark a nucular war. and the world is partially destroied. Would a new power rises from the ashes of destroied civilization, or would total anarchy engulf the world? would there be a world power? As for survivors, do you think they would try to rebuild our fallen world or leave it dieing? State your opinion on any of the subjects

Its pointless to say that we aren't going to go through with the war, when obviously we are. but what do you think the outcome will be. Do you think that other countries will turn on us for beating up other countries. Or do ytou think they will join in. Dispite bush's actions. Wish we could all just settle this damn thing but as humans we can't.

The thing is though I am an American, and on top of that I am soldier (U.S. Navy), and I do critize Bush for these mistakes. He isn't listening to anyone and he is hell bent on starting this war so he can get relected, and I have a problem with that. By the way just because he is 14 doesn't mean he doesn't know whats going on. He has just as much say as the next person, american or not.

Do you guys honostly think we are attacking Iraq just for the oil? Its way more complicated then that. oil is just a fraction of the problem. This gives the united states a chance to test new weapons, install new bases, and fortify places that otherwise we could not do if the world was at peace, not to mention that this is an old trick that bush is using to get reelected. not to sound as if i know all of it cause i don't. Those are a few of the key items at hand.
Your very right most of the public, believe that we are mindless killing machines. Some of my commrades in the USMC seriously don't like to talk about killing people or the amount of people they themselves have killed. They know its wrong, but its what we do to survive in a hostely situation. To speak the truth, most soldiers don't like to fight or go into battle. we Just want to live our lives and protect our country if we need to.
As military personal (U.S. Navy), most people believe that the military is for war all the time. Thats not the case, many of my comrades and I are actually against it. There is no point. We should have wacked Saddam in the first Gulf War instead of leting him brood and make more weapons. Bush seriously doesn't know what hes doing. Not saying that he is a bad but he certianly isn't a good one. Feel free to discuss or not
