So~ Yeah, i'll do this, sounds easy enough, just animate the previous object turning into something new and doing something and animate it in black and white, easy ;D

On another note, if you have a mic, atleast get a demo reel done with example voices you can do, however due to your female? you'll be able to vary voices, hell most voices done for young children are done by women, shu in blue-dragon >.> was done by a woman who was in her 50's at the time i believe.
and then alot of male anime characters in the english dubs are done by female voice actors, well, depending on what kind of character it is. So you have a wide range you can choose from depending on what you wanna do.
But putting the rambling aside, you might wanna get a demo-reel done first, so people have an idea of what kind of voices you can do :D

Yes! take advantae of your sore throat, and i believe stuff like cough-drops, lemsip, and lemon tea and that kind of stuff(strong) tends to help soothe a throat :D
But he's right, take advantage, and even if it comes out good, you know how it sounds, and thus, you can try to hit that without having a sore throat :3

And in answer to the post above: mp3 or .wav work fine. For voiceovers, there's really not that much different in quality. I've never been one for impressionism of already created tv characters, mainly cause its used for parody work i suppose and i generally prefer original stuff.
However, thats how you feel so each to their own. So keep it up :D

Swish~ We;; i say good luck firstly, and for general advice hmm. Well! keep the mic a little further from you, using software like audacity(if your a cheap bum like me :D) you can increase the volume via the decibels of the track by usually double the volume or a third, etc etc etc
Practise the voices before hand, if your using a script and trying for a piece, practice practice practice, voice acting is like many things, playing an instrument or acting for a film, you won't get it right at first, so keep doing several attempts to your content with what you have. (personally i hate my own voice when hearing it so i'm weird to this extent but k'yeah) For the piece i listened to, it was good, but if you wanna do a higher voice, even if its a stupid one, well, have a think of how you want it to sound firstly in your mind, then keep trying till you hit the right voice, maybe your their but your voice keeps cracking, then maybe try something a little different, hell even contorting your face and mouth can help you hit the right voice. Though you'll look stupid but their only going to hear you, not see you :x

Because to an extent i understand. Despite people may say that voice acting is so so, or its not a crucial part of something. I say they are foolish!
However it may be, when people do their voice acting, they put their effort and energy into that work, try hard to do something to help someone entertain people, to tell a story, or make them laugh, make them sigh sadly, so many different emotions are created by the collaboration of voice actors, animaters, writers, artists....etc etc
so k'yeah!
Point is, this is an important thread, for me personally, voice acting i'm so so, i can understand the theory and i can do so so voices o_O it just takes awhile i guess, but to have advice, people to speak to, its a good idea personally and i say to go for it so there!

If you want something, let me know, i'll give it a shot, i can do a multitude of voices and i really try whatever so i couldn't specifically pin down what i can and can't do, so ask away with lines, i'll record, show you, if you like it, i'll do it.

In my experience, just keep practicing stuff till you have something you like the sound of in terms of what your going for.
Then just keep practicing it until your content ;D thats what i do \o/

Ahh, also, I forgot to mention i only have flash cs4, however, as I recall and have done so before, if the file is convered to swf, then uploaded into the animation, you just have the swf file the length of the frames, so if you have someones file on frame 1-150, put the swf on 151, and if the swf is 100 frames long, insert frame at 251 and then do it as normal from there :D
cause we had this issue last year with a different collab :x so yeah ;)
Of course if that doesn't work in the long run, i can always see abuot trying to convert the file to flash 8, mind this is all given on whether my piece is even accepted or not ^^; now i'll stop posting XD

It went on Hiatus for abit because well, jobhunting, general work, late webcomic updates, looking after my baby nephew
its all been very, very, very draining =w= plus my laptops decided to start being a cock and not work half the time!
on a plus-side, i'm getting a new laptop but i can't actually have it for a couple weeks :/ which is the major downside =w=
So, I'm gonna try continuing my piece with this piece of crap computer for the time being so yeah >.>

Because, unfortunately, my mic and such is fine, but wavepad is kinda...annoying in some aspects, so i need to instead preferably download a better program and then i can do proper edits, its partially done though, i'd say....a third done?
Originally i thought it would of been a minute long but being at 24 fps i'm looking at 30-40 seconds lol :/
However, as i've got alot to do and after spending six hours straight on this, the lip sync(so to speak) on the black pawn isn't finished yet, but i'm gonna do that when i get home later if i have the energy or after work tomorrow!
Then i've just gotta draw the white knight, do the voicework for him and the syncing and then do the other half that i thought of awhile ago that i haven't mentioned but i thought would be funny :D

Sorry about the double post, i just started and well <__< i have my background sorted and some of it drawn, which o_O would be a little easier with a tablet so i apoligise about that, however i thought i'd show a preview image mind i'm pulling an all nighter right now, i won't finish it tonight most likely, but if i can get the base flash done, then its just fixing it up a little and doing the voicework so it should preferably be done really soon
I possibly won't work on it tomorrow as after all, all nighter, and i might not work much on it saturday as i'm working, however sunday i'm completely free and monday so yeah, i'll be able to focus fully on it :D
