Well it's certainly on mine, at the top too.

1. Muse - The Resistance
2. Cage the Elephant - Cage the Elephant
3. Arctic Monkeys - Humbug
4.Civil Twilight - Civil Twilight
5. Animal Kingdom - Signs and Wonders

And I think those are all the 2009 releases that I downloaded, although I could be wrong, I downloaded an assload of music this year haha.

I take the boat, and let them all kill each other. Society becomes better for it, and I get the Congressional medal of Honor.

Heavy breathing....hmmm, could easily be animals running around in the walls (Squirrels for instance, every now and then, usually in the winter, I can hear them in the walls and it does sort of sound like breathing)

As to the picture, if theres a room adjacent yours, some one could have easily hit the wall hard or something, causing the loud sound and the picture to fall, and it's not that hard for a picture to fall out of the frame without it breaking, I mean, pictures aren't that thick and there could easily be a small gap in which the picture could have slid out.

If the soot was found in the morning, it could have easily been windy during the night without you ever even knowing, causing the soot to get all over the place, or if you happen to have logs in the fire(for decoration or just there from the last time you had a fire) they could have fallen or something due to gravity and made a cloud of dust causing the soot to fly everywhere and you probably wouldn't have noticed the logs had moved.

Verdict? Busted.

Response to: Review the last album you bought! Posted December 2nd, 2009 in General

The Resistance - Muse

The Album starts off strong with the first single of Muse's new album, with a catching beat and lyrics that make you stop and think about how corporations truly do control almost every aspect of human life, rolling from Uprising comes Resistance, which makes you think how we need to break free from the chains that this world has keeping us down, whether it is wrong or right.

Undisclosed desires is a fresh R' N' B' taste for the band, playing a little bit off the success of Super Massive Black Hole, this song is about the darkness and secrets that love can somtimes hides, this song is also the first by Muse to not feature Matt on the guitar or piano, and has Dom doing his drum machine thing and Chris playing slap bass.

Guiding Light, the first song of the album to feature a guitar solo, takes a slightly more "cheesy" approach at love and rock.

Unnatural Selection is a song that will really open your eyes about how this is really a dog eat dog world, winner take all world, and how "If you can't beat em' join em'" really plays into effect, with this being heavily inspired by Queens of the Stone Age.

MK Ultra, simply put, is about brain washing, and plays off the overall political aspect of the album, and has a fairly different sound than Muse usually does.

I Belong To You is a softer song, and as you probably could have guess is about love, and feeling so greatful for some on that you feel that you literally belong to you. About half way through the song, it gets softer, and goes into french lyrics, and honestly I have no idea what that half is about because I speak no french.

Exogenesis is a 3 song classical symphony, another first for Muse, where it describes Astronauts going into space after we completely fuck over Earth, and ends with them realizing if Humans don't change their nature, then no matter what we do, the same thing will just happen on the new planet.

Overall it's a pretty solid album with Muse changing their sound succefully once again, with album favorites being 'Uprising' 'Undisclosed Desires' 'Resistance' and 'Unnatural Selection,' this album should be picked up by any Muse fan, or any one looking for something new and refreshing, especially if you're sick of Nickleback and all the Nickleback sound alikes these days that flood the radio.

Review the last album you bought!
