My first question is, why is this illegal? Dogs naturally fight, yet we don't see the government arresting animals in the environment. Should it be the government's job on either the state or federal level to try and enforce these altruism laws regarding animals? Last time I checked, a government's job was to ensure the rights of its people. Someone explain to me since when animals are guaranteed protection from the government. I just don't buy this "They're defenseless creatures and need our help, yada yada" point. A little kid can get away with ripping off a crab's claws and allowing it to starve to death, yet someone can't attach metallic claws to roosters and let them kill eachother alot more expediently.
