Then using those conclusions to say that "B is not as bad as A, so we should take A instead of C!" is so wrong that it's no longer funny. In case you wouldn't get it: A =christian society, B=stalinist society, C=atheist society.

Stalinist society = atheist government. But no, I am not saying take a christian society at all. I am merely being objective and comparing two evils as to which is the worse. An impartial government is far best.

but they need the navy to get them places, amphibeous assualt vehicles can only do so much.

Marines actually have their own seperate fleet of transporters and battleships independent of the Navy. This is due to the fact when they need do initiate a preemptive strike they can do it immediately without waiting for the cooperation of another branch. Though the Marine fleet is much smaller than the one the Navy possesses they can do their own fighting.

That's how it is with the US Military. I can't speak for other NATO countries.
