basically the only good option, so if it doesn't suit you, you'll just have to learn how to draw mouths.

Thanks, i'm downloading it now.

Lip-Syncing program? Posted February 1st, 2011 in Animation

Hiya all, i'm looking for a good lip syncing program so i can actually do decent animations, without the animation getting ruined by my crap attempts to draw mouths in speech. A free one preferably, and for beginners.

Dude, that's amazing. And yeah i have moved on and now i'm trying to be dedicated to making a parody of 127 hours. I'll hopefully get 30 secs of it animated by late march. YOU HAVE INSPIRED ME! :D

Response to: Whaddaya think of my anim *so far*? Posted January 23rd, 2011 in Animation

Yeah, as i've said to everyone. This was my 2nd real animation. I AM learning, and am hoping to get better as my animations progress. Did any of the more famous animators on newgrounds make a 4+ movie on their first try?

Okay, thanks for that pointless piece of help. I'm clearly asking for some help, not asking for a dick to make a retarded comment on how my animation looks. Lets see you do a decent animation that dosent look like a piece of shit on the 2nd time you've actually done something u dick

It actually did, surprisingly. I thought it would be blammed too. It's more of an experimental thing, because it's actually only my 2nd real animation. :P

Api Problem On Animation Posted January 22nd, 2011 in Animation

Hiya, i'm currently trying to put an api thingy (w/ ads) on my vid on cs5 flash but it only connects AFTER the vid has finished and starts looping again. I put it on a keyframe just before my animation starts. As you can see here: http://www.newgrounds.com/dump/item/c4b8 7f95c00584a3dd38e9d7edcd03ac

i doubt you can use that, even if you can it will probably wont pass the filter of the flash portal cuz many ppl will vote 0 thinking you stole it

if you want recognicion you have to do it the hard way like everyone here, spending time on your stuff

Yeah i hear all of you guys. I've changed the animation cycle to bunchie. xD

Whoops I didn't read that. Well anyways, you should at least try to improve the art of the people.

Yeah alright. I was thinking of drawing my own version, or just putting bunchie in xD

Hiya all, here's an anim i'm working on, if you could just give me some feedback, and suggest if anything looks odd or could be improved, drop a comment!

Charmanderp Anim
The actual charmanderp character (retarded *derp* version of charmander) is NOT mine, but rather from a website. I'm not taking credit for any of his work, and will (if i finish it) put his name down as an animator.

Do nothing but these for a week or two, and if your stuff still sucks after that amount of time - wash, rinse, and repeat.

When you've got something half way decent, put it in your dump, then start a thread titled: "How is my (character, walk cycle, whatever)" and don't get offended. Just don't post to the Flash Portal until you have a 100% finished product.

Good luck!

PS stock up on stimulants like Red Bull, Monster, crack, Yellow Jackets, etc.

Hmm, im sure i have some crack somewhere. lol jks, thanks for the link! I'll be sure to heed your advice. Thanks again.

Death By: Series Posted January 20th, 2011 in Writing

I'm not sure if there is a series like this out there, but i was thinking just a series of some stickmen dying by normal and supernormal circumstances. I tried making one, but it got blammed because im so shit at animating. If anyone would like to take up this idea, PM me

How do you guys do it?!? Posted January 20th, 2011 in Animation

How do you animators do it? I've only dabbled and actually started animating several weeks ago, and a small project that's taken me about 4 hours, i came up with this:My Anim (it's an .fla file) made with adobe professional flash cs5. Everyone was saying it's the best so i got it. Tell me what you think, and any general improvement points, or even software you animators use! Everything i've tried to do is crap compared to stuff i see on the flash portal. So how do you do it? General practise?

Like Sam, I am a supporter of ToonBoom as an animating platform. It's fantastic, although a little bit overbearing at times.

Righto!
I'm trying both (adobe pro flash & toonboom) thanks.

There are tools like wooden dolls, that help you with character perspective when you draw and rotating boards for when you're drawing so you can accomodate it as you like...

If you mean software tools... I think there's software that reads audio of the character speaking and then gives you the mouth position. If your animation has lots of talking, that comes in handy.

Yeah, software tools. Sorry if i didnt make that clear, but yeah, something like that and general animation software, that's easy to use but can actually produce something not crap (yes i know it does depend on the author)
