Anyone who didn't know this is an idiot.

actually its french, but the japanese refer to it as "anime" anyway

Anime not strictly a certain style Posted October 29th, 2007 in General

At least not anymore, drawing anime can be hard, because it strictly follows basic anatomical proportions. It is also the most often dismissed because it is now considered too "common". Anime, however, can include many different styles.
These styles differ slightly, but a world of originated anime styles... that can really be a variety.

one style of anime, looking somewhat realistic.
Here is a self-portrait drawn more along the lines of anime, while still keeping hold of reality.
Like alot of anime females, this one displays unusually large eyes.
The show, Fullmetal Alchemist, uses a rounder face, with higher outer corners of the eyes.
small eyes, long sharp face.

Response to: Should i draw my animations in,,, Posted October 24th, 2007 in Game Development

you know what, in long animation sequences use flash, but for little scenes, use photoshop thats a good balance, just depends on your judgement

Response to: Should i draw my animations in,,, Posted October 24th, 2007 in Game Development

photoshop = detail with sacrifice of smoothest run, with time and work
flash = smooth animation, saves time and work in sacrifice of detail(photoshops potential anyway)

Response to: Creative Writing Posted October 21st, 2007 in General

Well, I'm talking about creative stories that are just a bit different from reality. Forgive me for bringing this up but, anime stories have a wide variety of story ideas, along with some video games and Movies(not just anime).

Inuyasha is about a girl who fell down a well just to end up in another one many years back, with demons and monsters. Elfen Lied is about a girl who is different from ordinary humans, having horns and invisible arms sprouting from her body, trying to find a purpose in her life, ending up killing many. Naruto, *sigh*, is about ninjas in a fairly present world, where energy from the human body can take on physical form, and demons and "villages".

There are so many ideas already out right now, that i cant seem to make up an idea that isnt basically copying or stealing from another, which is hard.
