I don't know about the art direction, it all looks kind of ugly. The grass kinda looks like puke and the enemies so far didn't have very detailed or interesting models. but it is very early on so I'm not too concerned about the graphics.

As someone who absolutely loved the first inFAMOUS I can say that I'm happy with the redesign, His voice in the first one was way too gravelly and he always sounded pissed off imo the new voice still kinda sounds like the old Cole but a lot less mad.
Cole is an evolving character who becomes more and more powerful as he learns more about his powers, so Ice while not directly related with lightning still makes sense if he's supossed to become an all powerful being.

I had such high hopes, but suckerpunch butchered cole, raped him, casted a rank 3 Ressurection spell on him, and then killed him again.

No they just made him more human.

This is an actual scenario that happened to me with Forza 2; I started up the game, then my cousin comes running in to tell me something, she runs into my tv stand which has my Ps3 and 360 standing side by side, the stand shakes, x box tilts over a little bit she catches it but forza is destroyed. Ps3 on the other hand completely falls off of the stand and drops 3 feet, perfectly fine.

I know you weren't talking to me but I'd like to elaborate on me taking sides (somewhat) with realism boy, When I say good graphics I mean Good for their generations being born into Ps1 Gen I know a good Ps1 Game and good Ps1 Graphics, but If we got that stuff on a Ps3 and its not a PSone classic or downloadable game and cost us 60 bucks we'd all say "fuck that" and don't say you wouldn't because you would it. Doesn't matter if its got Crash Bandicoot or Super MArio 64 level Gameplay, it looks like shit (relatively) so you wouldn't think twice.
And when it comes to sprite based games those (if done properly) can look amazing, Take Super Metroid, Metal Slug, Castlevania (SNES), MegaMan, those games look and play awesome.
Once a (realistic style) game on a Current Gen console looks better than God Of War 2 I wouldn't mind it but if its going for an art style like Borderlands, MvC 3, Okami, I judge it on whether or not I like the gameplay or the Artstyle.

Actually I think exaggerated realism is better than realism and I think you do too. In a game I want to be able to shoot lightning out of my hands, or fly, or fuckshit up with super strength or fly spaceships and shoot down aliens. I don't want to run outside kill a guy get caught by the police and spend my life in jail that is what realism would be and I'm sure you don't want rot in Jail the game. And look at the Ratchet and Clank Games, or LittleBigPlanet, those are perfect examples of awesome graphics and Games that do not equal realism.
Graphics to me are an important part of a game because they make good games better. And make it easier to make out what's going on and tell if an object is manipulatable by the player or just scenery. but of course if the gameplay and level design suck graphics won't save it but if its got amazing gameplay with shit graphics the experience as a whole is held back.
And to all of you who say that Graphics don't matter its all about game play, lets quit fucking about graphics do matter.

This is not true. Valve has yet to produce a quality realistic and fun game. Bioware has made what? 2 good games? They still are at the feet of Rockstar. Valve is out of the question and R* puts them to shame, but Bioware is still at R*'s feet.

Never played a lot of any other GTA game I liked 3 but I only fucked around in it.
Rockstar is a good dev but in my opinion there are better ones like Valve, Insomniac, Bungie, Epic.

I don't think that they can do that, I mean I wasn't going to get it anyway so it doesn't bother me but there is no way the casual audience is ever going to drop 200$ on an Arcade (which would be a waste considering the lack of hardrive) and then another 200 on Natal or Kinect or whatever,thats roughly 400$ if the rumored price is correct. and if they're getting an Elite thats 500$. The Casual audience is not going to that when they can get or stick to a 200$ wii or get the Ps3 Move for under 100$ (probably gonna be 70-80$ which would still be about 400). And we all know that a majority of the hardcore isn't buying into the Motion control stuff.
They'll more than likely release an Xbox Arcade/ Natal bundle for 300$ or something. I mean they Have to otherwise they won't sell to their main demographic.
