What I'm saying is that I can immediately tell your work apart from the crowd in a single glance. Which is quite good since that means you have something that is yours alone.

Strange, I have not noticed a unique flavor, but thank you very much for informing me of this it makes me feel a little more defined as an artist.

I can also tell that you've been improving. It's always a refreshing experience to see other artists grow in front of you. So thank you. I always thought you are a bit underrated around here. No one seems to notice your work. What a shame. I happen to think that people should give more credit to your work, as I can see your efforts manifesting in it.

With all the practice time I've put in I better be improving and thanks for noticing. Underrated, I don't know ,there's a lot here that, I feel, outshines me. But I do throw a lot of effort into all of my major drawings. and a good amount into not so large ones as well.

I hope you keep working hard for the future. I always have your back bro.

I'll never stop, like most of the people here its what I love to do and I enjoy doing it for me more than other people, but I do aim to please.
Thanks for popping in and giving your input, much appreciated.

I don't know what that is but a girl called me one once and I was immediately offended despite not knowing what it is.

My view on this is everyone's equally full of shit and that it is all irrelevant anyway.
Art is whatever you decide it is. Arguing it is just as pointless as arguing Ps3 vs X-Box.

But then I'm full of shit.

I really like the octopuss based work :D. It's a strange theme that I wonder were came from. I like the idea of an octopuss based romantic flash, just thought you should know I think that seems like some great concept art for a flash.

well then to any flash artists: I declare it to be open season on the romantic Octopi concept
I am far too retarded to figure out how to use flash.
The theme kinda just happened, if you look at one of the Green colored pencil drawings there's an octopus in there and I liked it.

I thought about that and it's definitely more catchy but when I think "Octobomb" I just thing eight bombs. I plan on putting it on a shirt though so anybody else who agrees with Jonny please tell me.

Jonny: my house sucks everywhere as far as lighting goes and all I got in the camera department is iPhone old one too so crappy camera.

when choosing drawing music the best kind to use is instrumental, vocals distract your brain because you're processing what is being said. When its just instruments it stimulates creativity.
I have a whole playlist for drawing that has no vocals.

It looks really good, very nice use of color and shine, kinda looks like a 3d render.
You now you don't need to update on this picture every single day with wips though, right?
the last three posts have looked largely the same just with some minor tweaks. It makes more sense to post when you need help or when you've gotten significant amounts done. but that's just me.

This looks much better than your other stuff, great progress.

I must agree that I am liking it

She looks way more human; she's still not realistic and still has your style to it (long heaad thin bodys big eyes) but it's pleasant to look at; a good stylization so to say.

I don't know that I'll ever be able to get past the thinness thing with girls I draw since I have a thing for thin girls with longer faces. but I am working very hard on getting past that in drawing.

Good job.

Thank you.

Also: I think you should work more on pencil shading; either with lead or color, try not to make solid areas, but gently shade something and try to make some gradients etc.

I have noticed especially more recently that I am absolutely terrible when it comes to shading with pencils I think a do fairly okay with it on digital drawings but it has been bugging me lately so I'll probably get to working on that soon.

You may be wondering what's with the dude with the rainbow bottle attached to his head who is oozing rainbow and puking one solid color. That is the Color Selectaficator each week he will barf up a different color and that is the chosen color for the the week. We, as people of the art forum, are tasked with making drawing using shades of the selected color. "Why?" you may ask; because a lot of us have some down time and this is a nice little activity to spend a few minutes on a neat little doodle or spend a whole week on a master piece of a single color.
All art forum rules apply
Anyone can post as many pictures any given week so long as they're not spamming crap.
This isn't strict monochrome you can go out of the color's shades as long as its similar. but if you'd like to do true monochrome by all means go ahead.
If you missed out on a week and you really want to do the color anyway by all means repost it in that thread it won't kill anyone.
