hmm well its a difficult perspective; I think I'd make the front claw bigger and maybe give him 3 front/1 back claw instead of 4 front.

This was just a black horse but it needed something to spice it up so I gave it a horn that shoots lasers..
I guess I could have just read the previous page.... anyways, save a spot for me will ya?
is there a deadline for this yet? I'd like to do something for it but im quite busy, and im not really good at robots, so it will take some time... dunno when robot day is?

leave it as it is
nah, apparently theres something wrong with the portal. I saw that self-portrait in the portal earlier though and it looks really good. Despite the textures it doesnt look flat at all (textures tend to do that)

That way it would still just be score based; so it isnt really one vs one except for the theme...

This is apparently just a regular competition, which is a little less interesting.
I dont agree; in a one against one battle kind of thing a lot of good artists might get kicked out of the tournament early because they were paired against a really good artist.
If you want to have a one against one kind of deal, I'd vouch for a soccer world-cup kind of thing where youve got an initial group stage from which the best 2 or 3 go through to the 4th- or 8th-finals so as to eliminate a bit of the chance.
how am I supposed to hold up this hiatus when this shit happens.....
LUVUSAURUS!

I dont really get the "you can submit later but penalties will be given..."part. wouldnt this cause a huge delay on the judgement? or do you mean later as in the next day (getting only 80% of actual score) or the day after that (only 60% actual score) so that you basically have a second deadline for late entries...
At 6/3/11 11:00 AM, idiot-monarch wrote: God damn it, why can't we just have signups and random teams?
I agree; technically though: someone could still host a randam team assignment procedure... the problem with having both self-made teams AND random teams is that you get a bit of a brain-drain as less talented/skilled poeple will typically get a better team out of random sign-up and the more skilled ones can get together a better team themselves than they would have in a random signup...
in other words: If I were to host a random team assignment would anyone be up for that?
also @austin: would you be fine with that?
is there a particular reason there are no random teams anymore?
also also @everyone: Should I introduce some quality control?
although the biggest problem is probably poeple flaking out rather than the actual quality of their work..?
oosim!
so... no new stuff/thingies in this installment or will those just be in the presentation of it?
yeah IQ of 170 is nonsense cause IQ is a quotient, a comparative figure... if he really did have an iq of 170 there wouldnt be a reliable way to test it cause there is no comparison material.
Ill just put my name in the hat here:

Looking good, are you gonna keep the "roughness" of some of the areas? like the background and guys looking down on heroesque figure? I love how theyre a bit flat... gives it a great mood.
I find this star wars crap highly inappropriate on the Remembrance of the Dead.

I'll try to make as many of these as I can (Don't go thinking I go slacking on my duty, huh?), for the moment... I hope you enjoy these! So long!
you know; you could make more out of it by selling sketches to visitors of the book fair..... draw their fave book character or whatever
