Here's a little something-something I whipped up in about an hour. Doesn't really have to go in, if you don't want it to.

GRIM - art collab

Response to: Mini-Game Collab 2 Posted October 3rd, 2009 in Game Development

So anyways, now im going to download the boss, add it to the game, and make all of you ma betatesting slaves, *evil laugh*, XD

Watch your tone, sir >:C I've also updated mine a little bit :
1.) Instructions are, gone for now, I will link to them.
2.) Level I completed.
3.)Sidewalks made less busy.
Here it is: GRAAAAAAHHHhhh

Response to: Mini-Game Collab 2 Posted September 29th, 2009 in Game Development

Ah, the sidewalks? Alright, i'll add more shading onto them, and less lines :) I'll also edit the instructions menu. The countdown is my personal favorite, also.

Oh.
And your game was very good. But make your text larger, and your graphics look good, but they are very loud. Might want to change them. Also add an instructions menu there.

Oh, then I can't help you now, but i'll look it up when Ihave the time :) What do you mean bu loud? Too bright? And I did add one, but i'll make it clearer on how to do things.

What do you need help with? If it has to do with coding, I can't help you :C But i'll still hear you out, and try to help :3 Also, here's what I have done so far me and kris's game: yush. Tell me what I can improve on, and i'll take your words into consideration.

Every one of the 10 minigames will get co-autored right?

No, because there's only 7-8 co-author spots :C

Response to: Flash CS3 =/=Vista? Posted September 27th, 2009 in Game Development

Go ahead and lock this thread, mods. I've decided to just go with Flash 8, and wait a while to upgrade. I thank all of you for trying to help me :)

Yep, pretty much :C
Okay, try uninstalling it, and when re-installing it, right click the setup file and run as administrator.

I did, and every time I try to run the setup( Where it asks you if you want to try it free for 30 days or if you have the serial code), it crashes when I select try for 30 days and click next >:C I really don't wan't to try and re-install it, either, because that usually takes up 30 min-to an hour to do D:<

I'm not getting any error code, it just won't show up. When I run the task manager, I can see that it's open, but I can't actually open the program.

Flash CS3 =/=Vista? Posted September 25th, 2009 in Game Development

Hey, do you guys have any idea on how to run Flash CS3 in Vista? I have all the needed components and files downloaded, but it says that the .exe file is only 18 MBs., and it doesn't pop up in the taskbar. What do I need to do to get it working?I don't think i'd need the CD for a demo version :C

Response to: Mini-Game Collab 2 Posted September 23rd, 2009 in Game Development

yes you can open flash 8 in cs3 if you delete flash 8 or not doesnt matter i have flash 8 and cs3 on this computer.
I have only one submission!

Okay, i'll do that.

Response to: Mini-Game Collab 2 Posted September 22nd, 2009 in Game Development

its always good to have the latest version of flash because they fix problems with flash.
but it depends how good your computer is, if it is an everyday computer it may crash because of your ram but it really does depend, the computer i have it quite lacking in Ram only 2 gb of ram and it does crash sometimes when publishing something big but i still have the swf which was published
i have cs3 and thats the only problem i have with it

Okay, i'll see if I can get a 30-day trail of CS3 from the tutorials section. I have a 4GB ram, but i'm running vista, so that probably takes away a TON of memory. Can I delete Flash 8, then open the .fla file from Flash 8 into CS3? I have to know this, so I don't delete all of my projects that I have made in flash 8. BTW, How many submissions do you have?

Response to: Mini-Game Collab 2 Posted September 21st, 2009 in Game Development

The menu is looking nice, but i would try and keep it as much detailed in game as possible!
the size doesnt matter i can already go up to 19MB which is my limit, the collab is overall larger than that then so be it, and 1mb is accually quite small for a menu but that depends if theres bitmaps or not.

I would like to make it detailed, but flash keeps crashing because it's so detailed :C Would you recommend upgrading to a higher version of flash?( I have flash 8)

Response to: Mini-Game Collab 2 Posted September 19th, 2009 in Game Development

Phew, that's good. Still, i'll try to get it designed and send it to kris asap. Heres the menu for it: CLICKKKK. Click the image to see the 600 by 450 pic. I don't think i'm going to make the game this detailed, because it's already over 1 megabyte, and it's only 1 frame. Does anyone have any compression tips/ tips I could use to make it look better?

Wow, I'm betting you used like over 9000 bevels.

Yes, I did, but that was to give it that vista-ish look. I can draw, trust me.
