I'm going to use a lot of After Effects Animation, which fits this board the best, I think.

now, We're still writing the script, but I already made a teaser-like trailer thing:

It's not much, but I had to say something about it,
I want it to be really big, so I'm going to need a big audience too.
I only have no idea how to spread this..
I'm giving people that link, but that's not working too well..

Any ideas?

Not a teaser trailer. Teaser trailers are released halfway through completion of the movie and show fast playback of scenes features in the movie. This leaves nothing to the imagination and you should of even bothered with a teaser trailer at this point in time

Response to: What games did you buy for xmas? Posted January 1st, 2011 in Video Games

I only got Fist Of The North Star: Kens rage
but its insane its set out like dynasty warriors but it has a mild and extreme violence setting oive put it on extreme and theres realistic blood spraying all over the screen and enemys exploding and ripping to shreds its a must buy if you like bad ass cutscenes and gorey gameplay

Response to: Animation Suggestion Posted January 1st, 2011 in Animation

I agree on the point that the bobbing up and down of the aeroplane ruins the whole realistic style of the plane as they dont do that and it would probably be more effective if you had feint wind blasts going past the plane to further show its actually moving becacause from what i can see its easy to mistake the plane being stationary ant the clouds rushing by it becuse of yet again the bobbing up n down

Response to: How to animate sticks like terkoiz1 Posted December 31st, 2010 in Animation

you think hes amazing because he makes stick figures fight? not that creative if you ask me if he was truly that good then he would be able to design actual characters instead of different coloured lines with no personality xD. stick fights are not where you wana go trust me lol youd stand more chance not being a sheep like the last 200 odd people before you who get forgotten. thats where the art of creation is thrown out the window when everyone starts copying each other and forget how to think up unique memorable creations.

you do realise your going about this all wrong right? Nobody is a whizz at animation straight away. Like everything in life you gotta practice and practice over and over again that is the only true way to become good at something.
if your making a game from what your saying about crouching and jumping etc wouldnt it also make more sense to draw its yourself so it fits in with the drawing style which youve used for the background/level?

Response to: Fighting Poses Posted December 31st, 2010 in Animation

I know practice makes perfect but Im posting here asking where would you go to learn how to draw a fighting pose. Why I'm in the animation thread is becuase its going to a fighting animation, not stick figures though, more of just a regular cartoon.

the simplest method of learning to draw the human body i would say is to go to a few life drawing sessions. We had to do that in college and what they do is bring in someone who takes off all there clothes and sits in the middle of the room whilst you draw them. Really useful if you ask me before i took that class i couldnt draw whole bodys properly or in proportion.

But then again thats just dragging itself into the whole theory that practice makes perfect which it does. either way its your choice which route you go down life drawings is just the most straight forward answer to me.

(continued) to put it simply i want to know which one has the best propertys bring my creations to life?

new to animation Posted December 31st, 2010 in Animation

ive been looking up animation programs alternate to the (in my case) Expensive flash. What i want to ask is can someone show me proper worked on examples of animation on the free animation programs as i want to know which one is worth using. The examples given on most of the programs ive looked at arent really creative in the sense that they are just placed togethor in a manner which it looks like a 5 year old could of scribbled on a wall. Im a graphic design/ art and design student and i am seriously looking into going into a career of animation but i want to be able to see what i can do on the best free program out there to saee if im any good before i look into going for a big name program such as flash.

Examples of animations from different programs and expert opinion would greatly help me see where im meant to start.

Your time is much appreciated :)
