Just saw on Adult Swim that new Metalocalypse episodes are gonna be 30 minutes long rather than 15.... awesome.

I heard that a few weeks ago and was uncontrollably happy. Though it'll porbably be a 10 episode season instead of 20 though.

Also, I read some good news for the Venture Brothers off of Jackson Publick's blog. The 4th season will be 3 episodes longer than usual (16 instead of 13). It'll be chopped into two 8 episode segments airing in November then in June. Which is good news since it's so fucking annoying having to wait a year and a half for new episodes every time!

Yeah, we should probably get around to PMing everybody to see if they're going to attend haha.

As for me, the chances of me getting to come (to my own planned meet) are fading fast, the friends who were planning on giving me a ride bailed and they were also bringing an extra tent for me. :/

Luckily Beta, you are entirely capable, sorry this thing didn't turn out as well as we wanted to. Tried taking up Tom on his offer to announce the meet in his next FP Post but I guess he didn't see the PM.

Flash didn't even introduce bones until CS4, which just came out over the last few months. Flash is better used for animation involving redrawing of frames for movement or creating multiple symbols and to create bones. Also, the timeline is actually very simple to use, easier to pick up than the Anime Studio one in my opinion. Yeah, Flash 8 is OLD news, like 4 years old at least.

I remember a line from that show from one of the episodes where Earl is in prison and Randy's a prison guard. Randy's bragging about some shitty drawing or something and Earl's like "Well Randy, the Doctor did say you were borderline artistic".

I kind of miss seeing the reasons why the submissions had that particular rating. It would be cool if you could highlight the rating symbol and it would show a little window with the rating description on it.

I was born in '91 which sadly makes me 'old' on this site. But I remember watching Beavis and Butthead and South Park when I was young. BACK IN DA BEGINNIN'! I remember our neighbors being astonished when we bought a computer with the Windows 95 OS. Man, those were some pretty good times, until I freaked out about Y2K since I was like 8.

I'm not too big of an anitard so but I watch some good stuff occasionally.

How about Gurren Lagaan (NOT THE ENGLISH DUB! It sucked balls) and... the Full Metal Panic! series is pretty decent. The first series was dull, the second was hilarious and I have yet to see the third one.

And of course FLCL like a lot of others said.

Naw, there is, it's obviously a coming-of-age story. I'm not going to personally dredge the depths of symbolism and literary blahblahblee, so here's an extensively thought-out analysis put together with anime nerds with A LOT of time on their hands.

Well if you care and sorry for the fluorescent pink web design.

FLCL will most likely forever be my favorite anime. I'm not too big of a fan but this is one of the good ones that isn't fucking cheesy and a waste of time. I'm happy to have all 6 episodes on a bootleg along with this really cool Groundwork book that has original pencil-sketched keyframes and poses from all the episodes. The animation was amazing (so amazing it resulted in them only making 6 episodes) and the story is so complex and confusing that you don't realize it's there's a real underlying theme until the second or third viewing.

Oh yeah, the show also had an excellent soundtrack... For an anime.

Yeah, that's the way such a joke works. The same sort of thing works in The Simpsons with the whole "which state is Springfield in?" joke. It keeps the audience guessing, and possibly more importantly, it keeps the audience viewing. It could be like the case of Maris in Frasier, where they originally wanted to have anv actress playinmg Maris, but decided against it because the joke had gotten far too crazy. I'm a subscriber to the Neil Flynn theory here though, particularly after that episode that shows Flynn in The Fugitive. I'm hoping they'll never bother with a name though.

I could probably stomach a Turk spin-off though. It depends if the sources are true to their words.

The Neil Flynn theory has always been a good fall-back. I don't care if "Glenn Matthews" may not be his name, but a little part of me likes to believe it would be since it's an in-joke with Bill Lawrence since the janitor in Clone High was named Glenn. Though involving the topic of this thread itself, I'm still not buying this Turk spin-off. That's the only site that's ever said anything about it. Also Lawrence opted for the show to not be renamed when continued.

Meh, I don't really have a lot to show on my next project. I've been moving dreadfully slow on it so here's a screenshot, I got mad and rewrote half the script so I had to get rid of 2 minutes of animation. I realized that just putting shades of color on top of characters and settings make it look a thousand times better.
