Woa! Someone remembers Tuti TV?

The second season will be a Matrix spoof Tuti TV style. I'm close to finishing the first episode and plan to release one each month. I'll update the Tuti TV News page
http://www.tuti.tv/news.html so you can find out when each episode is coming out but I'll also submit it to NG once it's done.

I'm curious as to why you would want to update icons you're "Fine with the icons for now but what if I want to change it later?" - what would (legitimately) change so much with the submission that you would want to swap the icon out at that point?

Thanks, liljim.

Sometimes I find that when I'm creating/designing something I come up with much better ideas later (could be days, weeks) rather than during the first time. Since I created the icons today, I might come up with different icons that give a better feel of the movies/games. Especially, after seeing the icons on the NG Submission page.

I just found another reason. I almost uploaded the wrong icon for one of my submission so it's nice to be able to change in case of making a mistake.

Response to: How to change the Submission Icon? Posted December 2nd, 2004 in General

Sorry, but I don't see any place where I could change the icon. Hmmm.

How to change the Submission Icon? Posted December 2nd, 2004 in General

I just uploaded icons for some of my submissions. Now when I go back to the movie info pages, I don't see the Icon Upload link any more. Is it impossible to change the icon later? I'm fine with the icons for now but what if I want to change it later?

The only reason why the change option might be disabled is when Tom puts a submission on the Front Page, he may not want the author to change the icon to something naughty.

Response to: Can i add an Icon for the movie? Posted December 2nd, 2004 in General

Yes, you can add the icon. I submitted my movies/games a long time ago and creating/uploading the icons right now.

Log in to your account, select Portal Submissions and then select the submission you want. On that page, you should see the 46x46 picture and there should be a 'Browse...' button with a textbox. If you can't see it then maybe you are not allowed to upload a pic??

Response to: NG Slogan? Posted January 7th, 2004 in NG News

Hmmm. My earlier comment of "Where you create the content" could be true to many site, so:
"NG: Where you create the entertainment" might be better. hmm.

Response to: NG Slogan? Posted January 7th, 2004 in NG News

I've "only" been visiting NG for the last 2 years or so and I haven't been around as much as many people but I noticed that NG has changed a lot in the last 2 years. Therefore, a different slogan would better reflect what NG is today.

(sorry if this has been mentioned, but no time to read all the pages now)
"Newgrounds.com: The Entertainment of tomorrow (or future), today".
"Newgrounds.com: Where you create the content"
I also like your suggestion of "Talent of the future, today".

Response to: San Diego, SuperBanners, etc. Posted January 5th, 2004 in NG News

I thought I saw the superbanner earlier but now there are smaller banners. Probably just work in progress.

Since I'm a regular NG (and net) visitor, I could close the superbanner easily and didn't miss the front page entries. Others might miss them, though. I like the idea of having the superbanner close after a time limit (with an open banner button).

It's sad that some people don't get that no banners = no free NG. Yes, pop-ups can be annoying (especially the installers but it's better to support NG this way than with subscription)/

When are you going to tell us what the new nav bar button is, Tom? (ahhh, the suspence is killing me)

Hi Tom,

What is your role exactly on the Alien Hominid console game? Synj mentioned that you are working on a character (sorry, can't remember the name). Are you creating graphics and code for the console games? Thanks.

Response to: Comcast Sucks Posted December 29th, 2003 in NG News

Wow, I never saw Tom this angry on NG  It's understandable that he's quite angry though.

Unfortunately, this kind of stuff happens a lot whit companies that are monopolizing the market.

Response to: 2004 Updates Posted December 29th, 2003 in NG News

Awesome changes, looking forward to it :) I really like the sound of authors creating maintaining their own series section.

Banners may take away more from the NG space but it's a necessity for maintaining such a site.

Others may copy NG but NG will be always my favorite place for Flash movies and games.

Are you using some kind of pop up window blocker? All the links you mention open in a new window. Did you get a new internet connection (with a browser) or pop-up stopper program recently? Otherwise, I'm not sure.

p.s.: Carious Weltling looks awesome and Wacked Halloween Special was really funny. Taco-Man Halloween was well done but I've heard those jokes before.

Great! Good job liljim!

New NG Account feature suggestion: I'm not sure if it has been discussed but it'd be nice to have an e-mail notification system when someone's favorite author submits a new movie/game. This way I wouldn't have to worry about not visiting NG for a while and missing something from them. On the other hand, this would probably add a considerable load on the servers.

Yeah! lol

Thanks for the info. So that's why there are so many "I hate anything related to clocks" NG users. I've started visiting NG regularly about a year ago and seen the quality of movies (both clock and non-clock) improve. Shame on those people for trying to blam decent clock submissions. Fortunately, there are many users who base their vote on the movie/game and not because it's made by a clock.

I care and I've seen many people asking similar questions after watching Clock movies.

Clock Crew history details needed Posted August 16th, 2003 in General

I think it would be a good idea if someone created a flash movie or a webpage (or even this post) explaining some of the things regarding the Clock Crew that is not currently covered on the current NG Clock Crew history page. Then, when someone is creating a Clock related movie, there could be a link in that movie to the above mentioned reference.

I've seen the following in Clock movies but not sure what they refer to:
1. Is "B" in Clock related movies a reference to the movie "B" submitted by StrawberryClock?
2. Why isn't StrawberryClock allowed to drive?
3. Why does StrawberryClock say that he is the 'King of the Portal'?
...and if you know of other related info. Or if such a page exists please post a link. With this info, more people could enjoy those references in Clock movies.

Just a suggestion.

Thanks and your reply is much appreciated.

Response to: New Portal View Page! Posted August 2nd, 2003 in NG News

I definitely like the main page and Portal page updates but the 'Portal view page' could use a couple of things:
- There's no clear separation between Author's comments and Most Recent Review. I like the separator boxes of the new layout and something similar could separate those two sections better. Or at least, you could put a grey background behind them.
- The Movie/Game rating (e.g. General, Mature) doesn't stand out. Larger font size could be better.
- The flashing text bubble with the Pico heads is a bit annoying because of the flashing and also have to wait for the text to appear. I liked the old one better.

Well, these are my opinions.

Response to: Flash files not loading? Posted July 24th, 2003 in NG News

I have cable connection with IE5.5 and Netscape7. I used to get the same problem with IE a while back but not nowadays. When that happened, I went to Netscape and the files downloaded fine (except on a very few occasions).

p.s.: the current download speed is excellent!!! (with a good connection)

Response to: New Site Layout Posted July 3rd, 2003 in NG News

When the background image showed up, I thought I clicked the wrong link on my browser. But no, it's NG!!!!! Looks really nice because it has a video game menu feel to it. Also, it seems more organized now - i.e. easier to see the various sections.

One thing: the white font over the green background of the howering textbox at the SIGN IN/JOIN buttons is not very visible in my opinion. Using a darker background color (e.g. the darker brown of the NG logo) would be better.

Overall, great job Stamper!!!

CORRECT!

That had to be the most brilliant thing i have ever heard.

A few questions to think about:
1. Katanaman, when you say "men" do you mean ALL men? If you ment some, many or most men than say that. If you say men, it means all men. I've seen some lousy men drivers and some pretty good female drivers, therefore, the saying that "women should not be allowed to drive" is false. Maybe men with ego problems perpetuate such claims to feel better about themselves. Who knows...
2. So if what if most men are better drivers than most women? Is that a reason to stop all women from driving????

p.s.: in case you're wondering, i'm male.
