Those do look excellently comfy. And I've been saying for months that I need a beanbag chair for my room; so I do believe I'll buy one of those sexy motherfuckers. You may soon see a picture of me, too, laying face-down in suede comfort. Lol.

I'm really getting anxious for this shit, now. My tablet isn't working (or more accurately, Vista sucks), so I wanna see my flash online so I don't feel completely worthless (assuming that my segment made it, but with two videos, it seems my chances are good). God. If anyone knows how to fix my tablet driver woes, please do tell.

It all worked out in the end. Post pictures later. Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, really, but I think I did a pretty good job considering I applied all the makeup in a rush during the fifteen minutes between my brother's graduation ceremony and the party. Thanks for the help, guys

Shit. Not sure this is gonna work out. I didn't find any good boots at the mall today, and I still have to get makeup and hair gel on top of that. The party is tomorrow mind you, and I'm not sure I'll have time to get all the supplies--I just have so much shit to do, already. Plus, I still don't know if I even look good at all in the makeup. So this might have to wait for another time, maybe Halloween or some shit (Comic-Con? Lol). If I manage to pull this together, I'll be sure to post some pics here, but otherwise I'm just going to have to go in my jumpsuit and goggles and say I'm from the future, or something stupid like that. Gragh.

Okay, so I bought the jumpsuit. What do you guys think? Comparison photo below, featuring myself in provocative super-gay porn star pose. If I put some make up on, spike up my hair red, and get some nifty footwear, you think I can pull this together? I saw some white goth boots at Hot topic the other day that I could spray-paint bright red or purple. Should i go get those?

Find some make-up for your face. If you're willing to shell out 42 bucks for gold tights from American Apparel, go for it (hopefully you find a cheaper alternative). But please, if you go to that Manson store, don't butcher Bowie's style. Bowie is elegant and bizarre, not some creepy fucking goth.

Thanks. I'll try not to fuck up too bad. And I was being sarcastic about the Manson stood, btw--although I guess Hottopic could easily qualify.

This movie is pretty rad :D

I second the motion. It's just like the comic book, only with jazz music wailing in the background, and Bruce Willis. If that isn't rad, I don't know what is.

What? Sin City as in Frank Miller Robert Rodriguez Sin City? Movie is rad. Books are better. On what sort of scale, sir? Out of 5, or 10? Or maybe give it a letter grade? Be a little less vague. Leave being ominous to Batman.

Didn't know exactly which message board to post this in, but in the end the NG forums are the only ones I'm already a part of, and I don't want to be bothered starting an account elsewhere.

So, I'm going to a costume party on the 17th, and I'm contemplating going as David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust. I think I can just put on a lot of makeup, and get a wig or spike my hair up red (though it may not be long enough for that, check the photo below and tell me what you think) to get the look of the face down. Plus, we've got about the same pathetically skinny build. But the real problem is the clothes themselves, as Bowie dressed up pretty fucking weird, obviously. Again, this is on short notice, so I don't have the time to make something from scratch, so does anyone have any ideas on something quick i can go out and get?

A few weeks ago I saw this blue jumpsuit at Bob's, which I tried on (don't ask why) and it fit pretty tight. If I got some long, red or purple boots and cut of the pockets and maybe threw on some sequin, do you think it could work? I mean, the thing he's dressed in on the album cover of The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust looks kind of like a jumpsuit, so if I had the hair and everything right, do you think I could get away with it?

Anyway, post or PM me if you have any ideas, and again look at the picture and tell me if you think I need a wig, or if I could even pull this off at all. Thanks.

oh I understand all right. I've just been trying to control my spending so I don't lose my chance at getting mgs4

I counted all the loose cash floating around in my drawer, and turns out I have more than enough, and that's not including the giant jar of change that I have to cash in. So I guess I can go out and buy some more used DVDs now. Lol.

It depends on how bad the typos are, and how many. If it's just one or two, then I wouldn't bother. After all, as someone else just said, they have to go through a lot of submissions, so sending them another .swf with minor fixes might be kind of obnoxious. And anyway, the people watching might not even notice, unless they're really severe. So if it's really noticeable, then I'd just go ahead and send it in.

Do I just transfer all my layers and frames into a movie clip and let the movie clip run the entire course or what? Just want to make sure I don't f**K up when submitting it.
Everything on your main timeline should be inside a movie clip called 'main' or something similar. Then, 'main' should be the only thing on your main timeline, 1 clip, 1 frame, on 1 layer. When you export your movie, it'll play straight through...just make sure the 'main' clip is aligned to the stage properly so it looks right when you test your movie.

I named mine "irrelivent." Is that alright? I figured if I was naming all my assets "irrelivent_snake1" then that would be the obvious choice.

GAIZ! The closer it gets to deadline, the more their Email box gets Full with submissions! Give the admins time! they'll get to you.

I just hope that is the case, and that they didn't just not get the movie. I'd be pissed if all that was for nothing. Practice, I guess. ;}

Huh? I meant like sound effects to download. You know. To put in the flash movie? Unless of course you mean that I should go to all the trouble of downloading an entire Youtube video, separating the audio from the file, and then removing all but the one single sound I need.

C'mon. Someone must know where I can download some clips. Pretty please?
I think what he meant was to use something like audacity to record the sound off the videos through something like stereo mix. That or google it :/

Ah. Well that still takes more effort than merely downloading a file, but I suppose it should have been common sense to just have googled for sound effects in the first place. Lol. My bad.
