Well, it's just that there are 4 SI that can pin a survivor, and they usually spawn at the same time.
If they don't all spawn, someone is usually a Spitter or Boomer who can easily incapacitate the last person who isn't pinned/down.

And a Jockey, which is about 3-1/2 feet tall, almost has more health than a Charger, which is 7 feet tall and covered with armor.

Jockey has 300-350HP, Charger has 500, cant be melee'd, and takes less damage if you hit him in the armored parts. The 4 pinners never spawn at the same time, and again, they really could all only get you if your team was kind of...well stupid. There's usually one stupid team in a game, or rather, one better than the other.

Crash Course links No Mercy through to the second campaign (which I forget the name of, the second one anywho), and I'm pretty sure that the other two have some sort of tie up between them...though I may be wrong.

You are, the only tie up was the one you mentioned, which is dlc, so I didn't count it.

Also, does L4D2 have the whole download custom campaign sort of thing like L4D does? I'm wondering if someone that's good with it is going to recreate a few L4D2 campaigns for L4D, haha.

I would say nay, I tried the trial because, I too was curious of this highly addictive game. I stopped playing it in like 2 or 3 days, I don't get why it's so popular really, and it's a pretty expensive game.

In L4D1, there was the opening cinematic, which was all the story you got, the campaigns did not tie in at all, everyone had to speculate most of the story. The gore was decent, typical limb dismemberment.

In L4D2, the campaigns tie into each other, as the survivors get to know more and more about each other through out each campaign. the gore in L4D2 is some of the best gore I've seen, it's very nice. You can blow them in half, vertically, horizontally, Blow out their guts, their bowels, half of there head off, expose various other bones, etc.

Now you tell me which one is better in gore and story. Though generally the game isn't story driven, really at all.

There is a melee cooldown now, you can't really spam it, but you can use it a good 6 or so times before so. Crouching in front of a door and spamming a melee weapon attack is pretty effective too.
