Topic: Psp Pack For 120 Dollars? Worth It?

Posted: 06/03/08 02:48 PM

Forum: Video Games

Alright, my friend is selling a Sony PSP for 60 pounds, which is 120 dollars. He's selling it in good condition with a 1GB memory sitkc, all the manuels and warranties, a game case, cleaning cloth, USB cable, black gel case, The Transporter UMD, Dodgeball UMD, Dawn of the Dead UMD, Warped Tour UMD and the games Tony Hawks Underground 2, Brunout, Socom US Seals Fireteam Bravo.

I don't really want it for the gaming, or want it that much, but I'm thinking for the price I might as well get it and use it for stuff outside of gaming.

Good deal?

I am running Kaspersky permanently. And I do have high ping cause I'm downloading two huge mod's online. I have a good computer though.

So it's not possible for anyone to use CSS as a door to your computer to either control or store malware?

Topic: Counter-Strike: Source - Malware?!

Posted: 05/26/08 06:05 PM

Forum: Video Games

Like all my problems, I always come to Newgrounds for some help.

Alright, I was basically playing Counter-Strike: Source on my Pc a couple of minutes ago and I had high ping so I entered a server with a wierd map and it was latency of 690 (THE SERVER WAS NOT VAC SECURED). Everyones names were like Q-T-R *Insert normal name here* with the exception of myself and another user and it was a zombie mod map.

Anyway, then my gaming was a bit crazy for a minute, I couldn't get myself to turn the way I wanted to like someone was controlling my screen, and switched my weapons and such.

So I left, but it left me thinking what kind of cheat was this, and if not was it a insecure connection that allowed him to hijack my computer and control it? Is this possible?

Thanks!

(I posted this under General originally, but then made a new thread here because I just discovered today there was a VG forum, I havn't been on NG forever)

Yeah, well I though a .GIF could do a feather well because I saw a .GIF Dr. Pepper logo that had a feather shadow, so yep. I'll try .PNG cause Powerpoint might be compatible with it.

Topic: Photoshop Gif Feather Problem!

Posted: 05/11/08 04:33 PM

Forum: General

Hey I'm running Photoshop CS3 and I need to know how I can save a image which is supposed to be saved as a .GIF file, but needs to be transparent (I can't save it as any other file tpye so no .psd comments). Problem is, I have an object which has been erased with a 50% opacity eraser. So kinda like a eraser feather, cept I just erased the object more as I erased downwards on the object. But when I preview the saved transparent GIF, the feather is gone. Some help please?

See?:

Well if it's always expanding, that means there has to be something there to expand into, so it's theoretically infinite. I think that's just bullshit though, the reality is noone knows.

Okay, I can't quite get why people but black bars over theyre eyes on pictures of them or other people. I see it even outside rock related pictures. I know it's supposed to make you anonymous, but really how does a simple black bar make you unrecognizable? Stupid question, I know. Discuss.

Okay, I need to know of the most scariest film ever made. I've looked across all the ratings and websites that say what movies are the scariest but the problem is they only display the old movies like "Nightmare on Elm Street" and "Jaws"...

So I need to know of a movie thats new, preferably 2000 and later, that's properly jumping out at you scary and phycological horror and stuff like that. Oh and if the movie has scary creatures that move in a erraticly fast way like in "House on Haunted Hill (1999)" that would be a bonus!

Don't say The Ring because I've seen it too many times. XD

Thanks!

There was one guy who seriously was being abusive. A 1? Come on! Read his review and report it if you find it as abusive as I did.

Yeah the Lumix does tend to be a bit weak on the ISO side. But hey, I've taken pictures as good as the ones the profesionals have taken and I've amazed a few journalist photographers with my photography that I had taken with my Lumix. They all asked it if was a Sony Alpha DSLR which is like 1000 dollars or more and I turned around and told them it was my Lumix. Really good camera. Plus, ISO isn't needed THAT much in most cases, 100 is fine for normal shooting. It's good get it.

Are you kidding? The guy who said get an iPhone to replace the camera, your really dumb. I know you just want to promote it but the camera doesn't even have a zoom function! Let alone a good image quality compared to any real camera and has a fixed shutter speed (think).

Hey, I look up the price on the FZ50: 441 dollars.

Really get it, the features on it are amazing. Your getting a DSLR with a fixed lens that can do 12x Opti. That's such a good deal. The review said it was good too. Overall it got like 9.0 out of 10.

I'd buy that camera if I didnt already have a Lumix. Plus, you can pop the screen out and tilt it. I mean, come on! You need good equipment.

I'm a good photographer myself who owns A Nikon D40 DSLR, Lumix FZ7 SLR-Like Super Zoom, two crappy point and shoot compacts (got them from my sister who broke it and I fixed it and the other one I got cheap for like 10 dollars haha) and I own a couple of SLR's the likes of a Pentax, Canon and some other one...

I suggest you get the Panasonic Lumix FZ50. It combines the manual focus of a DSLR but has 12x optical zoom and I think up to 68x digital zoom. I'm pretty sure you can't change it's lens but its perfect in that way. I own a Lumix and I can say it takes amazing pictures and is a really amazing camera for the beggining serious photographer. Really Lumix is the way if you don't want a proper DSLR. If you want a proper DSLR get a Nikon D40. Excellent camera. Don't get a Canon D400 or the Pentax one...

http://www.dpreview.com/news/0607/060719 05panasonicfz50.asp

That's the review on the FZ50, I dont know if it's an amazing camera and I havn't looked at the review. All I know is it's a lumix, has MF (manual focus) and zooms like a bitch. Read the review for more! I think the price should be pretty reasonable too.
