Response to: US military murders civs, reporters Posted April 5th, 2010 in General

This was in a neighborhood, not a warzone. Besides, in the video you can clearly see that the reporters and the people around them weren't armed. They were clearly walking to some other place. Had they been actual soldiers, they would be running. Also, they were wearing nothing that suggested that they were troops. You could hear the redneck troops cracking jokes, cheering. The guys talking sounded relaxed. In the video, after an obviously civilian group of people gets mown down by a helicopter, a man driving his children to school stops to help the only surviving person from the incident. The guy talking asks one of his superiors, asking for permission to fire on the van. His superior says yes. The gunner proceeds to fire upon a van with a child clearly visible through the footage. I hope that gunner dies.

Response to: Thread killer Posted March 22nd, 2010 in General

I hate it when I'm the last one to post, it makes me feel like I killed a semi-good thread. Going back to some of my older posts, I honestly think they were thread killers. Any way to stop this from happening?

Response to: Avatar Humans Should Have Won Posted March 18th, 2010 in General

I agree with your point, the humans should have won. The Na'vi had no weaponry besides arrows that should have not even been able to scratch the vehicles that they commonly pierced. They were savages, although it was terrible of the humans to have taken over their Sacred Place for greed. I highly doubt anybody could have been able to have done something like that and been able to sleep at night.Unobtanium is an embarrassingly bad name for a mineral. I also noticed the Na'vi started using technology towards the very ending, where they took the base over.

Mass Effect 1 and 2 were roller coasters
Bioshock was "awwwwwe"
Dues Ex 1 was "WHOLY SHIT!"
Dues Ex 2 was "Damn good idea"
Oblivion was "Now what?"
Any Total War game was "I AM MAN!!!"
Fallout 2 was "mmm. yes. educated. yes. mmmm. yes."
Age of Wonders 1 was "wow...now he's alone...awe."
Age of Wonders 2 was "OH GOD! THE WRITING! SO HORRIBLE!"
Age of Mythology was "Eh, good enough"

Do we see a pattern here, children?

The emotion in Mass Effect was kind of cheap. The dialogue option for Saren to off himself was kind of a ticket to skip a boss fight.

Being anti-social and lacking social skills are two different things, but from what I've seen on the board it's something more than that. And the fact that half the people in the thread seemed to admit to having it is definitely alarming.

It may be that the autistic people here simply saw this Thread and decided to post, it doesn't necessarily mean most of them are autistic.

I think this is a good idea, bu I have very few. I think the idea fo writing insane balbber nonstop for five minutes is quite difficult, as most that will come out of me will simply be praise for your idea or such. I think Cthulhu is more of a personal thing, he's imagined differently by everybody. I notice that religion''s faith and DoubleThink are in fact similar, or quite the same. I therozie that dreams are infact the pent up creativity of one's mind, and creating more and thinking more will simply make one's thoughts weirder. Also, I had a dream a few days ago where I lived through all of Nineteen Eighty Four, I can even remember how I (he) looked when I was tortured. I think it's crazy that schools accpet kids with mental problems, seeing as they are a waste of space and should in fact be going to special schools instead of regular schools, seeing as how they waste class time and simply annoy other students. Having intellgient friends inspires or pushes one to do things that one would not normally do, such as drawing something ectremely complex, masturbating, drugs, etc. I think watching porn should be considered socially acceptable, as students in my grade call porn delicious. I don't really like thrillers that much, beacause they usually follow the format of assasination of agent, then the governement dispatches a proffesor of some sort to investigate, only to be chased by a bald, fat serial killer or Asian.

These are my random thoughts.

Essays in Writing Forum? Posted February 1st, 2010 in Where is / How to?

Are essays supposed to go in General or the Writing Forum? I have the idea of writing an essay on the similarities of DoubleThink and Religion, so I'd like to know before attempting such a behemoth.

Some poem I wrote after reading a few of them here/

Reflections on Death

As I lay drawing my last breath,
I dwelt on my mistakes,
On my bed of death,
All those aches,
All of this suffering,
What a waste,
I did all for her,
She was such a disgrace,
But now it is all a blur,
And I must find my way into the afterlife,
At least I have stayed pure,
For my wife,
Is no more,
She'd go off in the night,
Rotten to the core.

Response to: Cult Ideas? Posted February 1st, 2010 in General

At 2/1/10 03:34 PM, Me-Patch wrote: Well a good cult usually starts out with a positive message of peace, love, tolerance, and understanding. Cult members all work togethor twords a common goal, and while their members are focused on these ends cult leaders begin to abuse their authority and mistreat their followers in a gradual manner. Most followers prefer denial over disillusionment and things get out of hand before they even realize it.

So your cult should preach a positive message in doctrine, but in actuallity work twords the exact opposite of that message.

This is what I needed, all the other ones were simply obvious or cults that were about sexuality. I might want to ask my father when he gets home, he went to Jonestown as a reporter.

Cult Ideas? Posted February 1st, 2010 in General

I'm creating a story universe and I'd like to include a few possible cults. If you guys have any ideas, please share them. I'm particularly interested in dark cults, and I also welcome previous cults that exist or existed for inspiration. I was told by a mod that this is better of going in General, as many idea threads are being deleted in the Writing Forum.

I would have to agree with this. The zombies die from severe weathering over time, so would the zombies in cold areas not last as long as zombies in warmer areas? Actually, I think the cold weather would make them more vulnerable, but preserve them as well.
