America, USA, I think that right after 1945 and the victory of World War two, the US was viewed as the land of opportunities, the land of freedom and the land of Uncle Sam, it was the US gold Age. 1946-1960's America is Injecting Europe with Money, known as the Marshall plan, money to rebuild Europe, AND since America is so awesome, they also import American goods to Europe, such as Coca Cola, Good Chocolate and Bubble Gum. Man, America was so sweet to old destroyed Europe, what went wrong? Why do a helluva lot of people hate America today?? WHY?! Personaly, America started screwing up during the Hotspots of the Cold War, and especially during the Vietnam War and Afghanistan. When America was way into the whole:"Oh Jesus Lord Almighty! Bob! We gotta stop the Evil Comunists! And bring Freedom in the rest of the world" kinda thing, and when Comunism Fell appart, the whole :"Stop the Evil Comunists!" left and the whole: "Oh Jesus Lord Almighty! Bob! We Gotta bring Freedom in the rest of the world!" and open a Mc Donald's At the Red Square to Symbolise the Victory of the Free over the Comunists. Now with Soviets outta the way, America is now the ONLY Super exageratedly Garantuous Super Power of the World (well China is following up kinda quickly, but its still not at this level), so it has a shitload of power over the world. Enough Power to go against the UN's will (hey, thats what they did for Irak) and get away with it. Okay, as long as they bring freedom... But taking Irak.... I really don't see freedom there....Oh Hell at least they get to die free.
But Seriously, people are saying that the "american 'o' phobes" are Jealous of American Power, or that every nation craves for power, and thus hates the nation who has it. No. The US is not hated because it HAS power its hated Because it Doesn't USE that Power for the freedom and democracy they claim to bring. The US Finnanced and toppled Democratically elected presidents, (under the cloak of course) and replaced them with dictators, supported and finnanced by america, but hey that was way in the past, all countries have their bad habits, right?
America is also hated because, im sorry to say this, you have a stupid president, that nearly the whole world population dislikes. It is also Disliked because the Goverment manipluates many truths that are flagrant, and it is also hated because the words "terrorist", "Terror", "Threat", "Danger" and "Opression" are used too freely and openly. But hey thats just a goverment kinda thing.
I like America, it would be awesome for me to go there one day, I met a lot of Americans, especially GI's that give a good (sometimes bad) image of the US, although I strongly disagree with certain methods employed be the Goverment of the land where Unlce Sam Lives

One Big thing terribly cruel in Australia is the Ausie accent, Its hilarious but horrible in the same time, but Australia rocks anyways (crickey, mate) :-D

Brazil maybe, but they have huge potential, and although they have a large impoverished class, they also have a strong middle class, and have areas of good development.

South korea is far from being a developing country, though they don't have alot of power.....

Braxil has a strong middle class but something like 20% of the population posess the total of the country's wealth

Yes and No, The first goverment couldn't take the responsability, they didn't give a crap, so they named a Old general (petain) to take the responsabilities intead, and Yes, Petain Shit his pants and surendered to the Germans, he cooperated with them the whole way, he managed to get an indenpendant part of France under his ruled (this part was named Vichy) but it was of course under german influence. after the Brits victory in capain in Egypt, Germany emidiatly re-atached vichy to the conquered land by fear of an invasion from the south (Wich happened the 20th of august 1944)

If you saw this in a book called 'Horrible History' then forget it, they talk a lot of shit, No the french surrendered in a comlicated way. First after WW1 the French army was considered the best army in the world beacause they fought endlessly 24/7 for 4 years in a row. So in the 30's a dude named De Gaulle (who was a colonel in the french army) saw the german military rise like hell, so he asked the govrment to produce armour, a navy, mechanized units and a airforce. The goverment refused beacause they said: 'we don't need it we are the best army in the world bla bla bla' so the germans came with tanks and fighters, they crossed the border in 1941 and as soon as they did the goverment reseigned and named a WW1 veteran General to take power. Th guy was called Petain, he met up with hitler and said alright, lets be pals. So France surrendered not beacause of Paris but beacause of a fat asshole who didn't want to be defeated, seeing as he only saw victory in WW1. In the end De Gaulle became a General after the german had breached the border, he trialed the fat ass Petain, the judgment was death, but De Gaulle spared him and made him live in exile...

yes, the Maquis and other freedom fighters did cause trouble for the Germans, but i'd hardly call them the "main resistant country". I think Britain did pretty well for themselves by holding off the entire Luftwaffe and stopping Operation Sea Lion with 160,000 German troops attempting to land on the shores. Not to mention the Blitz which later began.

Yah, the brits held off the germans in Military terms, The french fought with home made weapons, there was no more military. (well there was but it was stationed in england...)

Belgium is also the Best 'freind' of France (after Germany). We should all burry old hatred beacause all the soldiers that fought and died 700 years ago musn't be very healthy today... China has an increasing economy, but its increasing very slowly. Take the example of Mc Donald's happy meal toys, they are made (most of them) in china. If the toys were made in america, Mc Donalds would be bankrupt, for a simple reason: you have to pay the industry that will make you the toys, so in america workers that are paid at least 900$ a month to make toys for Mc Donalds are becoming rare, beacause in china workers are paid something like 2$ a week and its perfectly legal (China is a comunist country). Alsothe importing prices for the materials are very cheap in china. We can't say that their economy is growing enourmously, but its growing rather slowly, in the USA an industry with 5000 employees would have benefits (just an example) of 60 million us $, and that is for 5000 employees. Compare it with china and they would need at least 70 000 employees to make the same benefit, so we cant really say that its doing very well but its doing well, as china is also the cause of bankrupts of other industries from other contries (for example France, the textile industry had to sack thousands of people beacause they couldn't keep up with the low prices of China).
