You need to convert symbols or change something, cause this is not a big collab but symbols are or something is wrong.
Well, there is over 5 minutes of action, so it is fairly big..
Hey fish, but than you gone use my previous part which i send you right ?
Yeah, your part is fine..

Nope, other than cut people out, or cut it in half...
Which do people prefer?

Try reading through the other posts. Then you'll find out..
Well, Adobe Flash is certainly better, as everyone uses it. I haven't tried Swish Max, so I can't compare them, but I can just say that in my opinion, Flash CS4 isn't as good as the other ones. So if you're going to get a trial of Flash, try to get a trial of one of the older ones. They're not too hard to find, Adobe.com might even have them..
Could you please review my new flash, Broken:

I didn't get it, but it's OK, because I have the CS4 trial now (it sucks).
At 11/22/08 07:18 PM, Icyfire777 wrote: It wouldn't be right to cut everybody who isn't a co author
If Kevn's doesn't work then it should be on your judgment to get rid of flashes that you find not that good. That way people who aren't co authors have a better chance of still being in the collab
What Kevn said didn't work. Well, it did, but not enough...
So you think it'd be better to cut people out, and not just submit the collab in 2 parts?
What's everyone else's opinion?
Also, here's something by me:

It just depends on your situation.
If you're in the middle of the Sahara, and have been for many days, you would have an excuse for being happy if it rained.
Where I live, it never snows, so if it happens to snow, it is something cool which might not happen for another 5 years..
And this is where this piece of copy-and-pasted text comes in:
Adobe Flash CS4 Get the free 30-day trial first.
LiveSwif A free Flash-like program, but it's way worse.
Pivot Stickfigure Animator A free stickfigure animator. Only exports as GIFs though, and is very bad. OK for beginners though..
Pencil Don't know much about it, but I think it's free.
KoolMoves Free trial
ToonBoom Used less for internet animation, more for TV.
At 11/22/08 07:25 AM, remspoorman wrote: there's a flash forum for this
This isn't about the actual Flash program. It should be here, IMO.
I like the body of 2 with the feet of 5. I think..
Important post:
As exporting the collab is completely impossible at the moment, I may have to take some drastic measures:
I will probably have to split the collab in 2 parts. Each part will be approximately 2 and a half minutes long, and everyone will be co-authored, since it will then be possible.
or
I'll have to cut out anybody who hasn't been co-authored.
It's all down to you.
Problem!
Now, my flash has been running pretty slowly on the collab file, I couldn't even Publish Preview it. I looked to see how big it was, and the FLA is 63mb, and the SWF is 9.85mb.
Anybody know any ways to cut down on the file size?
I know people say to not just feed people codes, but I feel like it..
Make a movie clip, and inside that, just draw what you want your cursor to look like.
Then, on the main timeline, place this code on the movie clip:
// Author: Edwin Rosero
// http://www.kirupa.com/developer/flash5/globalmousecursor.htm
//code goes inside movieclip to be mouse
onClipEvent (load){
Mouse.hide();
}
onClipEvent (mouseMove) {
setProperty (this, _x, _root._xmouse);
setProperty (this, _y, _root._ymouse);
updateAfterEvent(mouseMove);
}
Code taken from here.

Yes, I agree! Anyone got CS3 or CS4? ANYONE?!?!
SpamTheWeb can be used for showing people your SWFs. If you have Flash, you can put your audio on Flash, and export it as a SWF.
If not, I don't know of any way to post audio so you can listen online, but you put it for download on MegaUpload.
I'm not sure if this has been suggested, but allow bold, italic,underlined, and linked text in Authors Comments in the Portal. It would be easier on the eye, and I would have thought that it would be fairly easy to implement.

Somebody who has Flash CS3 or CS4 to convert a CS3 file into a Flash 8 file.
zooominsh's part is CS3, and he's rarely online. Contribution will result in the collab being submitted really soon.

If you're thinking of making a 20min anime film, that'd take a long time. I would have thought that big animated programs would have a good few people working on different things at once, to speed up the process. This is entirely based on meagre guesswork, though.
Well, it's quite bad, to be honest. That style is overdone, and often not done very well. this is one such case. the shading on the hair seems all over the place in terms of colours, in the first one at least. All your drawings have very similar subjects. Don't be afraid to try something new. If it doesn't work, so what?
Also, age has nothing to do with artistic talent. Theoretically, your not allowed on the BBS until you're 13, so best not to bring your age up again..

Oh, sorry. Windows XP.
1. When you reboot the computer, are you signing into the same account as the one who installed the font?
Yes.
2. When you installed the font, were you using an account that has administrative privileges?
No. I have an odd feeling that that may be the problem. Sometimes it's the simplest things that you forget..
3. You say these fonts are "missing" when you next sign in. Missing from where? The C:\\Windows\Fonts folder, or from programs you're using?
It was missing from everywhere: C://WINDOWS/Fonts and all the programs.
Please specify your operating system and version - you might want to check out DeckHeadTottie's Computer Hospital 2 thread, which you can find here. If you do respond to this thread, or post there, provide as many details about your setup as you can.
Thanks a ton, I'd say that'd be sufficient help to fix my problem.
ZOMG Liljim posted in a thread of mine!

Thanks very much. I took the second one, cut most of it off, and made it loop properly.
Here it is. I couldn't find a site to upload it so you can listen without downloading it though...
At 11/17/08 09:33 PM, KevnSevn wrote: When's the collab being released?
Probably within the next week. I could submit it on Sunday, but if the collab happens to get a good score, it'd be better to submit it on a weekday, because there'd be more of a chance of getting an award. So, probably Tuesday.

The bass riff in the audio section of the collab.

I now have done all the actual assembly of the parts, except for zooominsh's, because at the last minute I found that he sent me a CS3 (or CS4) file, instead of a Flash 8 file.
If anybody has CS3, would they like to change it for me, as I'm not sure how often he goes on NG..
Everyone got their bios in?
The graphics are fairly bad, to be honest.
The situations are fairly boring.
It's too soon after the Lazer Collab Reloaded.
2 days isn't that long..

It should be done within the next week or so, I'm not sure..
At 11/16/08 03:16 PM, black-raven wrote: well the first bass riff he got there sounds pretty nice :) but well there isn't much to shoose from yet,
Yeah, I agree. I like the bass riff, I'm not sure if it would go well with the collab.

The collab is being fairly fast to assemble, although because the FLA is already 42mb, Flash is running fairly slowly...

Yeah, sorry. A deadline's a deadline, so sorry. However, maybe you can get into the Finished Business Collab 2 when it's announced, I'm not sure about what it is, really..
I'm not sure why I'm advertising it after what they've done for us..
In terms of audio: Check out
this thread, and tell me if you like any of the stuff.
Thanks,

Hey, I'm fish1892, runner of the Unfinished Collab.
I have no experience with posting in the Audio Forum, so I happen to break any rules, so be it.
Does anybody have a song (preferably a short loop) that they have failed to finish for some reason, and is just sitting there, unused, in some folder?
If you do, upload it to [insert audio upload site here] and send me a link. It'll be used in the menu for the collab, and, although you won't be co-authored, you will still get yourself credited in the audio section.
Thanks,
~fish1892
Co-author time!
Voting lines are closed, the votes have been counted, and the results are in.
In no particular order, I can reveal that the 8 people who are going to be co-authored are...
DumDUM...DumDUM
black-raven
Dark-Muse
fluffkomix
Icyfire777
KevnSevn
McJesus
uyersuyer
zooominsh
PMs will be sent to all co-authors.
Also, if you haven't done a bio, do one now!
Thanks,
~fish1892
I posted this in General a good while ago, but never got a response, probably because General have more trivial things to be talking about, so here I am on WI/HT..
Whenever I install a font in C:>WINDOWS>Fonts, the font installs fine, no problem whatsoever. However, the next time I start up my computer, the font is gone.
This isn't supposed to happen, right?
Is there any way I can fix it?
Thanks,
~fish1892
You probably know these, but keyboard shortcuts are really useful:
F5 - Insert frame
F6 - Insert keyframe
F7 - Insert blank keyframe
F8 - Convert to symbol
Ctrl+Z - Undo
Ctrl+Y - Redo
Ctrl+A - Select all
Ctrl+C - Copy
Ctrl+V - Paste
The last 5 work on almost anything, but the first 4 are unique to flash.
