Cramp?
Normally happens when you stretch your leg too much. or atleast i get it if i have my leg in a wierd position for too long.

If you're wanking on your chair and stretching your leg out that might have triggered it. The pain will go away after a few hours. If not, it'll definately be away by tomorrow.

Posted: 01/12/09 05:51 PM

Forum: General

It happens.
Anyone who has been on the internet for long enough becomes desensitised to most of the mainstream gore.

Just don't turn into a dick and brag about it.
Alot of people don't like sitting next to someone watching a horror movie where every time someone dies you go "HAHAHAHAHAHA LOOK AT THAT FAG!!! MAN BRING ON SOME MORE GORE THIS IS PUSSY SHIT FROM WHAT I'VE SEEN!!!".
It's appropriate at points where a kill is awesome in a movie, like in Braindead when the zombie-thing punches right through the back of a womans head and it comes out through her mouth.
Noone likes a pretentious arsehole.

I'd attend but i haven't posted here in longer than a year so it'd be like a stranger showing up for a drink. None of you would know who that fuck i was. Haven't posted since i got a flat in charing cross, no fucking internet until recently.

I'm up for it anyway, it'd be interesting to meet some other NG folks. I'm 19, got ID but it's only student ID and that stupid citizenship card which is supposed to be accepted everywhere (bullshit).
If i don't get in some places it's cool, i don't like wasting peoples night out, i'll just head somewhere else and meet a few friends.

Why wetherspoons though?

This happened to me yesterday.
Was wearing my Angreh Faic t-shirt for new years. When i got back to my flat a friend brought back loads of people and one of them ran up to me and went "NOOGRUNDZ!!!!!!!"
Showed him the penicorn plush, he wet his pants then i walked away.

I wouldn't go up to someone if they had a newgrounds t-shirt unless it was someone i already knew from newgrounds or if i recognised their face.
Only time i've went up to someone for wearing a t-shirt was at T in the Park, some guy was wearing a TrashBat t-shirt which is rare as fuck, had to go shake his hand.

Forum: General

Love the videocopilot winks.
Although the earth zoom wasn't necessary it was pretty cool anyway.

As someone who has also just started independent filmmaking i loved it man.
Loved the fact that it had no plot at all and you focused on one thing. The actual run from zombies.
Made it less annoying than most amatuer filmmakers who start out and try too hard to create a very complex plot.

Very simple and it worked well.

There was an interview with Ed Boon where explained that he took some of the MK characters and tried to find their equivalent counterparts in the DC universe.
There's an article i read awhile ago where they tried to guess what characters would be in the game. Can't remember where it was. Might be gamesradar.

On the main website worldscollide.com/ if you click Subs eye you get a secret page which looks kind of like a character select screen.
There's 16 boxes, so i'm guessing 8 characters from each universe.

The game's also going to be rated Teen. :(

The only characters definately confirmed is Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Batman and Superman.

It's kind of stupid anyway, the development team apparently knew the idea was not popular with the fans and even expected a huge backlash and yet they still decided to go ahead with it. Trying to prove the idea could work.
Hopefully they're not wrong though.
I was hoping for a true MK8. One that would make the franchise as good as it was in 2D.
An actual good 3D MK game.

It was confirmed there will be a playable version at E3.
When is that supposed to be?

Hmm, i think the problem here is you're not very good at knowing what to use on the computer. It looks as though you'd be a good artist drawing on paper, but it doesn't seem as though you know the right stuff to use or how to use it properly on the computer.

Use a much MUCH smaller brush when doing the outline.
And use more opacity when doing the shading. And with the parts you've used the transparent grey bursh (like the belly button etc) should actually be the same brush as you've used for the outline.
Take a look at the submission above yours for reference.
Good pose and form it's really just the brushes you're using. Or really how big they are.

Picked him because of style and originality of the submission. It seems as though everyone chose the obvious Red Knight look. Vortexs submission was different.
And it looks as though as he's put in more work into it than the others.

Posted: 06/15/07 02:52 PM

Forum: Art

Nah, looking at that (because of the fading border) you're going to have to have loads of divs everywhere.
But then again i haven't done any programming for atleast a good few months. So i could be wrong. Remembering a few things though i don't think you'll be able to have it work properly without loads of divs.

And even though you are asking how to splice an image, i think only other programmers would truly understand how to splice layouts for a website properly.
(Trying my hardest not to sound like a douchebag telling you it should be in an other forum :P)
Posting it in the programming forum probably would help you more though since they'll have a better idea of how to code everything.

Didn't like the blood on the teeth on the vampire (i think). Looked a bit odd. Was less...pixelly compared to the rest of the picture. Just looked out of place.

I was astonished by the quality of the game. It really does deserve to published on Live Arcade. Do any of you know C#? I heard some plugin for Visual C# is allowing you to code your own arcade games for Xbox.
It would be a true compliment to the work you've all put in this to have it on a HD Screen.
I'd pay 800 points for that bad boy. And 1200 if you added online play ;)

The artwork is brilliant. The Salad Fingers is definately my favourite, although not my favourite character. >:( The best had to be Alloy, his aerial attacks were brilliant. AND CONVICT, I HATE YOU ALL FOR THAT. The worst player (until he changes character) has the hardest ending. Why? I had to change to the pussy difficulty to win it. I felt like shit for cheating and changing the difficulty :'( Was fun spending ages at it anyway.
But this is mainly for the artwork i guess so i wont review the game. Fantastic stuff here anyway. :)

I'm amazed how many amazing entries entered this. COW has certainly changed for the better since i was here. More artists is always good. I just keep thinking we would have loads more if so many weren't driven away by the mass amounts of collabs and assholes on this forum.

I'm going to go with Vortex, it's one of the few that is actually a creature. The shading and colouring is brilliant but it would help if the picture was less sketchy and a bit darker (the background).

Oh and Zach, you missed out my second paragraph with the storyline :(

I congratulate you on that.

And now to your other work.
Outstanding is all i can say. You're an amazing artist and i hope to see more work from you. Have you tried doing other styles besides anime?

Your work here is so clean. And what amazes me is that it's all traditional. Clean art with pencils? You must be extremely confident with everyline you do. I can't see any sketch lines or anything. Unless you sketch really roughly, ink it then erase all the pencil. That would make sense for the professional clean look to it.
Either way, amazing work so far.

Nice one. You really got the shading down well.
Things i'd improve on though. The shorts/skirt/thing looks odd, it's the only part where shading isn't quite right. And it doesn't look as if it's sitting on his left leg. It's a bit odd. :S
The shoulder thing should also be sitting on his shoulder, not half way in the air. Unless it's in the middle of falling. Gravity would push it down.
I love the cape. That's fantastic.
Oh and it's a demon, he should be frowning!

And this reminded me of the old days when there were 4 cows in a row all with submissions with broken horns. ahaha :D
Great submission.

I kinda pushed it a bit. About 18 mins...went around the outline and rubbed out too many times. I'm not confident enough to do something so quickly.
I think my shading besides the really dark part went alright.
Although it doesn't look much like the person i was drawing.
SEE IF YOU CAN GUESS WHO :)

Anyway i used a 2h, 4b and 9b pencils on this. I regret the 9b now looking at the dark part now.
Anyone got any tips on drawing from real life? The hardest part for me is getting the main outline down. After that it's pretty much a straight road from there. But there's no point in doing it if the outline is wrong, which is the main reason i'm constantly rubbing shit out.
