Hmm.. I seem to be busy with school, and holding down two jobs, yet I manage to post almost every day. Only a wanker can be that busy that they cannot even post on the metal hell thread...and i i was that wanker.

its not always a matter of busy. sometimes i am not busy, but am also not at my computer. i'll be out and about and all that. its also that i haven't had a chance to check out any new metal bands lately. my school network does not allow me to connect to any p2p programs and i don't like to buy music with out hearing it first. i have gotten a few things through itunes (with which i use the program mytunes to download things off other computers on the school network) but no one is really into the metal, so my metal knowledge is about the same as it was when this great establishment known as metal hell began. i know there are probably some ways that i could get new stuff (like from rage and radiogrounds (if that is even around anymore)), but that is where the business of busy comes in. even if i was able to hear something i liked, i promised myself i would no longer buy CDs because i hate them so much. i now only buy vinyl unless the record is to rare or just wasn't released on vinyl and that makes it difficult because i have to quest out record shops. (in case anyone was wondering vinyl is often cheaper with new records being around 10 bucks as compared with 15 for CDs) . enough of this though. i shall try to post if i can and it works. it won't be often though, so don't get your hopes up.

what's up kids? you miss me? fantastic. so i haven't been here in a while cause i have been to damn busy. i just got back to school after the winter break, and, since it is right before classes start, i have the time to post. this will probably the only one for a long time however, since i will soon be once again busy with school and also have a job. do not fear however, because even though i will not be here posting i will still be with you in your hearts, and trust that i will still be enjoying metal wherever i am. headbanger, it has been a long time. i hope things are going well with you and your band. i also know that you changed your name, but you will still always be headbanger to me, so deal with it.

have fun kids, take care of each other, and please don't let the nu-metal idiots take over.

3 inches of blood is more old school thrash metal. almost a hair band, but not quite. they are more like early, ealry metallica (circa "kill 'em all").

as far as the deliverance debate goes, its an amazing album and would be right up there, but i just think the other one is a little bit better.

so the other day, i was ridding with my friend on our way to try and get jobs, and i was looking through his CDs. Normally he has decent music taste (lots of decent hardcore crapily balanced with emo), but as i was looking through his collection, i found a Good Charlotte CD. I took it out and asked him what the hell this was doing here. He responded that it was a gift from an aunt who thinks that since it is popular, everyone like it. I responded with "that's no excuse fucker" and threw the cd out the car window. it was the least i could do. just another little moment where i tried to educate the masses of ignorant music fans.

just a little story i thought i would share with you kids. i felt like it was time to post again. sorry i still haven't been around as much as i once was. i have been busy with school and trying to find a job, and any free time i get, i prefer to spend it playing bass or going to shows. i know they aren't metal, but (i have a broad taste in music) i saw jimmy eat world and the velvet teen about a week or two ago and wrote an article on it for my school paper which got published. i am a journalism major and that was my first article published in the school's daily. i also saw Badly Drawn Boy the previous tuesday, and if you have not heard them and wish to take a metal break, i highly recomend them. now however, it is metal time.

n.p. : Opeth - Blackwater Park (my favorite CD by my favorite band)

For a short time, I think :) He loves this club, I think.

NP: Opeth - Serenity Painted Death

This song rules, gonna have to listen to "Masters Apprentices" next.

i come in and out. my class schedule is a lot tougher this semester and it has been harder for me to have free time to post. i'll try to hit this up more though. its also harder cause i haven't been listening to as much metal as i have in the past. i don't have any money to go out and get new CDs and my school, in an effort to stop illegal downnloading, has somehow blocked any external connections, so some things like bearshare, kazza, and bit torrent don't work. i have itunes (and mytunes) so i can "listen" to whatever people on the network have, but not to many people have metal. oh well. soon friends, soon.
NP: opeth - orchid

For any of you that might have a sub in your vehicle, or home stereo, w/e, turn the bass up so it's loud, but still nice and clear, then pop an In Flames CD in, Clayman or R2R are good ones for this, and tell me if the bass sounds overly mixed and kinda sloppy.. It's somethin I notice when I'm drivin around.

i have done that and the bass is a little sketch, but its nothing to bad.

hey kids. long time no see. i know i kept talkin about how i was gonna get the highspeed internet this summer, well summer is over in about 3 weeks and i still haven't gotten it. i have the money, i just got lazy. i'll be back to the pre-summer norm though once i get back to the school conection. so how has everyone been? hope well. i started collecting vinyl again. i had a collection going, and then my turntable was taken back to its original owner (my mom). now i have a new kick ass one and have been building a new stereo set-up to match. my dad gave me his old reciever and i found a nice sub-woofer at a yard sale so now the system is sounding awsome. i look forward to seeing you all the more frequently very soon. too bad i have to be back at school.

Well if I'm a wanker then you're..... you're....... STUPID!........ yea...... that's right.

56 is stupid. it makes me hate the internet. i am always busy with work, my band, and my girlfriend, and when i have some time to check email or come here, that time is cut in half by those damn load times. comming here is an even bigger pain in the ass because it takes so long to load everything. oh well. one of my friends might be getting a job as a cable installer soon and would be able to hook me up with some cable internet for real cheap. hopefully he will get that soon, but if not, i'll still get the high speed, i just need to do a bit more research to get the best deal. i have the money, its just a matter of getting it at this point.

by the way, next saturday (the 24th), my band is playing a show and anyone in the vicinity of the whisky in hollywood should show up at 7:30 to hear us. we were supposed to play on the 8th, but there was a booking problem, so now we have this kick ass saturday date. everyone should go.

now that that is out of the way, how is everyone? high speed internet is nearly here and i am happy. i miss posting in here on a regular basis. oh well. has anyone heard the band 3 inches of blood? they are a thrash metal band from canada. they are pretty kick ass. you should all check them out. they sound like a lot of older metal like old metalica and the like. give them a listen.

this club is large as hell. it makes me sad that i haven't been able to post in awhile. oh well. the high speed is comming soon.
on a much different note, anyone with in a 10000 mile radius of hollywood california needs to come down to the whisky-a-go-go on july 8th at 8:45 to see my band. do it. DO IT NOW.
anyway, how have all you folks been? what have you been listening to lately and what is the most recent metal cd you have purchased/recieved as a gift/got through potentially illiegal methods?

well kids i thought i would brave the suck of dial-up to see how things were here and to also give an update on the proximity of me having high speed at my house.

the high speed is comming. only a few more weeks. sorry don't worry my loyal droogs, i shall return to regular posting soon enough. i am glad to see that this club continues to grow. i was talking with the guitarist of my friends band and he was talking about startin a classic rock kind of side project so me, him, and my drummer friend are gonna jam and who knows, we may be awsome.

until my next act of bravery in the dial up world, i wish you all well. viva la metal.

i start work on tuesday, which means i'll start making more money, which means i can get rid of this crappy dial-up internet and post more. hopefully soon my friends. very soon.
