It is my opinion that Isalm is a religion that has been F.U.B.A.R.ed(fucked up beyond all recognition) by the Islamic church. Islam is for the most part a peaceful religion, although it allows for violence a bit more than Christianity. The problem is that the islamic church is doing the same thing the christian church did in the past. It is interpreting their religion for them.
