i am not sure what catagory to file this under so I am placing it here...

When creating a game in flash which is better to use? sprite. gif's or vector art? Are vector movie clips bigger in file size? Are .gif animations of characters easier on the engine and better for game performance?

i would like to add that this is for a game that operates much like captain america and the avengers, or double draogn, or turtles in time, or dad and me now that i think about it....

Is there anyway to assign actionscript to a movieclip placed on the stage via action script? If i apply the .hitTest crap to a movie clip it has to be on the movie clip not in it, so how can I get around this? Am I going to have to place every enemy on the stage and add the code?

Does anyone have a good collision detection code example for .hitTest? Especially one that uses the attachmovieclip command

Can anyone send me a .fla of an explosion they did? I have looked for some tutorials here on NG but they are very vague and some have almost no direction as to what to do with the drawings it has you create.

Perhaps I should also state the serious nature of this scene. It is a short mild action very moody and "cool" scene... think clint eastwood scene. No vocals. No text.

Can anyone give me a link to a site to find some music that would go well with a western themed Flash short? Its basically a no words saloon shooting... Quick and mild action... very cool... think clint eastwood. I am looking for something fitting of the old west here. Flashkit has turned up nothing but the same old techno and crap. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.

I just wanted to add that americas gun deaths cant be compared to europes. We have more people in this nation than most of europe. Also... numbers comparing the two often leave out criminal activity in europeand add in accidental deaths in usa and leave out police deaths of europe.

Since banning gun ownership to a great degree violent crimes have been on the rise in australia and the uk

Gun ownership is at an all time high in america and violent crimes at a 25 year low

The founding fathers of america founded this country on there hatred for federal government as it restricted the rights of the people. which is why they made so many checks and balances and were adamant on the right to bear arms. They even called a standing army the greatest bane of liberty. (we were intended to be a militia/draft nation like many others with a small standing force so that the PEOPLE were the army)

A global government would be unstoppable... and surely cut our rights down like wheat in a field

Mr.Morre does not make documentaries. Documentaries are factual movies about a subject. Moores movies are just the opposite. They are full of sound and movie manipulation and generalizations and ommiting of facxts and editing of figures and statistics.
