I can see the convenience and there are some cool things I've seen on Android tablets as well. Like playing a GBA emulator with a PS3 controller. That'd be pretty nifty. Not something I'd spend $300+ on, however.

Ya I think its mostly for entertainment and going "oooooooohhh technology!!!" My dad's got one that he uses instead of a book so maybe if you read A LOT it would be worth the money.

I guess tablets are just more convenient in some places than having a laptop. Someone who is on the move a lot probbly wouldn't want to have to flip open a laptop which is somewhat bigger and also carry it around with them. Plus tabs are easier for like the bus or airplanes.
