hey thanks a lot for the script! unfortunately it still gives me an error, only 1 though.

**Error** Scene=Scene 1, layer=on top, frame=2:Line 1: ')' or ',' expected
button.addEventListener(MouseEvent.MOUSE _OUT, mouseOutHandler);

so to clear things maybe a little, there is "eye in" MC, and "eye out" MC. they are in the button itself, so when button is rolled over "eye in" kicks in. however, since "eye out" MC is in first frame, it plays from begining, thus making such problem.

Maybe I should do it some other way around? "eye in" has stop in last frame so it won't loop, same for "eye out".

sorry to be of a bother guys, just I am not entirely sure what to do :(

hey there, thanks for your help, but unfortunatly I am not sure where exactly to add an invisible button, in the button itself, or just in the scene? plus, when i add the script it returns with 7 errors...so could you please be more precise in what and where to add? thanks in advance!

Movieclip start only if... Posted January 13th, 2011 in Game Development

Hello dear Newgrounders, I have searched forum for answer, but have not found one, so I must post this.

In my flash animation, movieclip plays at the begining (eyes go down) as a part of a button. However, I would like it to play only if mouse goes over button and goes OFF it (point on a button, leave button, movieclip plays).

Any help is very appreciated! (Don't judge my crude drawings ^^)

Response to: Combo Animating/practic ing Posted November 27th, 2010 in Animation

Hello there! What I would reccomend to make a hit look powerful, is to make screen maybe a little shake? Also, an appropriate sound effect will suffice if you don't want to make the screen shake.

But I am new at animating, so I am only saying from experience of other animators! As for animation, if it is a combo, the last hit has to be most powerful. So if it's a kick, the dog would have to move a little the direction it kicks, to show the strength of a kick.

I hope this helps, if not...hope this doesn't bother too much :D

Hello everyone! I am new here in newgrounds, and I am applying to Russian State University of Cinematography named after S. Gerasimov, and am practicing flash. I am not professional, but I am very eager to try it, as I have had not much experience with it.

Here is my practice
