I believe it is all at the same time. Best off to do it in a seperate profile. Start new, set to lowest difficulty and travel to each town with the carriage to get them as a fast travel location then murder somebody, leave and evades guards and move to next hold and repeat.

I'm rather going on about the idea that consoles may give longevity to a game. Take Diablo for example, virtually unplayable on a modern PC or Mac, but they did make a PS version. So hence you just find a copy of the game and a PS and your good to go.

Thoughts?

Diablo 2 still runs fine on Windows 7. That said, Rollercoaster Tycoon 2 just throws a fit.

How long ago was it released? A lot of gamers will be on the latest thing that came out. While Halo's style and feel is very different to MW and Battlefield, those came out in the last 2 months so players are still gorging on it.

Streets of Rage 2.

That is all. That is where the arcade beat'em up peaked for me, though the Simpsons arcade game comes close.

I actually bought it today, and it was quite nice to see the Newgrounds logo in the intro. After a bit of playing I felt I wasn't really enjoying it too much. Sure, it was fun, but the controls just felt really cumbersome and the whole thing felt like a flash game moreso than a full retail game. Perhaps I'll play through it and get more into it sometime in the future, but for now I may just leave it be.

I've been getting a lot of mileage out of The Binding of Issac due to it being about the only game my computer run in it's melted graphics card state. The randomisation of levels and loot can really swing the game's difficulty and it's a bit twatty in that regard. It's got a great aesthetic to it, all the guts and slime presented in a way I know my 10 year old inner child loves.

And I still haven't beaten FFIII on the DS. I've gotten to grips with how to best level the job system and to maximise health for the characters, but even if I could be arsed to grind out that much, the end section of the game is such a colossal slog that I can't be arsed to finish it.

Response to: Final Fantasy Posted December 22nd, 2011 in Video Games

I think the only thing about Final Fantasy that most people could agree on is that the composer has done a pretty friggin' good job on the series. Personally I find the music to be the only thing that's not just consistently good about the series, but also the only thing consistent in the series period.

So you skipped over that scene where Lucius Fox says that while the "Spying on anyone using everyone's phones" device is active he won't work for Wayne again, as well as the idea that sometimes faith should be rewarded (In this case Lucius' in Wayne as the device self-destructs when he types his name in) and that Batman is still a man of morals? They never used to device to spy on people, just to find the Joker.

That said, it has been a while since I've seen it so you'll have to remind me on what scene constitutes as torture. The part where Batman holds the mobster off a ledge and drops him?

HMV's section isn't any better, these days the only animes I can spot are either Full Metal Alchemist, Naruto or Studio Ghibli films. That's pretty much it, the UK is languishing in cultural acceptance for anime. I can just tell what was going through my mother's mind when I put The Cat Returns on earlier this week, always gotta pull the "Japanese Disney" arguement out.

The Cat Returns, by the way, is pretty meh.

Anyone in large creative businesses are risk-averse. Look at the big publishers in the videogames industry. EA and Activision do almost nothing but churn out sequels and even Nintendo has a habit of constantly rehashing it's franchises (Not that it doesn't try something new now and then).

In regards to the topic, I always assumed that it had something to do with the public's perception of the 2D hand-animated style went way down after the period in the 90's when Disney kept making brilliant animations, but by the late 90's they hadn't made anything all that special in a while and Pixar was raking it in with it's great storytelling in the 3D CGI format.

So people just figured that the 2D animated films were naff now and Pixar solidified the idea that 3D/CGI = Good. I'm probably way off though.

I'd like to say that's too stupid to be true but I have this niggling feeling it's got nothing on what some people have done in that situation.

It's such an absurd concept to make a movie out of that it can only be one of three things:

2) Brilliant in a "It's so Bad it's Good" kinda way.
3) Shit.

Battlemages normally use melee and magicka.

Pre-existing robes tend to have very powerful enchants on them, far better than ones you could enchant yourself. The only real reason to stick with the Archmage robes, indeed for not using any armor at all, is the Mage Armour perk. Max it out and keep Ebonyflesh up when in battle and your about as tough as someone decked in Dragonplate.
