China doesn't need to bribe anyone. They produce most of the goods the West consumes very cheaply and our society has come to rely on them. This basically gives them free reign to be total dicks or we risk losing cheap goods.

Well for a start you could get an anti-virus and anti-spyware/malware program and do a scan of your PC. Something like AVG or Avast are good free anti-virus programs and Spybot Search and Destroy is a decent free spyware remover.

And browse the net with Noscript or something similar.

For once, a decent film came out in the UK before the USA.

Up yours, yanks! I've seen it and it's fucking awesome. Brilliant action, everyone gets a good funny line in and the Hulk steals every scene he's in. Don't torrent it, you need to see this in a movie theater.

More pathetic trolling. The game notes that it's a school for the physically disabled.

Mods are good, allows shit like macho man Randy Savage in Skyrim if you want it. Hacks are worse depending on the game and community. The servers i play on BF3 are constantly moderated by admins and what few hackers get past Punkbuster barely last more than a few minutes before they're banned.

Haters gonna hate. At least say why you think it's broken.

I'd wager Super Street Fighter 4 on the 3DS is broken due to the Lite controls. Automatic Focus Blocking combined with the ability to use moves where you shouldn't be able to (Block into Shoryuken, Charge moves like Flash Kick without charging) renders playing with Lite controls an experience in masocism.

Oh sure, you can set your controls to the Pro mode and force the game to only put you against people who also use the Pro controls but there's one slight problem: Barely anyone does that. And the few that do are always really, really, REALLY damn good.

Diablo 3 won't be on consoles. The cash shop stuff from auctions would have to be scrapped.

Response to: Should I start World of Warcraft? Posted April 10th, 2012 in Video Games

To those who whinge about subscription fees:

At it's most, it's £9 a month. Less if you buy in bulk (3,6,12 months) but it's still less than what you'd pay to go to the cinema right now and watch a movie. When WoW was the only game I played due to my crummy computer, £9 a month was a pretty good deal from what I got out of it.

It's still one of the best MMO's on the market but it's vastly changed over the years. A lot of the challenge has been sapped out of the game and can only be found in Heroic mode Raids. Any other PvE stuff is incredibly dull and non-threatening, making it feel like busywork.

That said, Cataclysm overhauled the questing content and if you intend to play an MMO as a Single player game it's one of the better choices. There's a trial that lets you get to level 20 and this is enough to try out most of the early zones and dungeons to get a good feel for the game, though max level can be far different.

Don't play it anymore myself. 5+ years of the same game will eventually burn you out. New expansion would have to up the overall difficulty to bring me back.

Response to: Getting bullied by chicks... Posted March 26th, 2012 in General

Inform the Headteacher/Principal of the school of everything you said here and give him an ultimatum to get the situtation sorted out. Something like a fortnight to a month is a fair timeframe. Once the time is up, if the situtation hasn't improved, do one of the following:

1) Go higher up and inform the Board of Governers that the Headteacher/Principal is letting this abuse happen, has been informed and given time to sort it out and that you demand he be replaced with someone who can enforce the anti-bullying policy. Make sure to get signatures from the students affected by the bullying if you do this.

2) Just club the vapid bitches in a way that physically maims how they look. Blunt instrument to the face, you want bruising but not permanent damage. This WILL get you into a heap of shit but you at least have the ability to say that you told the person in charge of the school what was happening, gave him time to sort it and found he failed and thus took matters into your own hands. What the girls really need is a massive ego dent, and physical abuse is about the only method you'd have.

Am debating on whether I should get this game, or Guild Wars 2. They look pretty similar and I wouldn't mind paying for the Subscription as long as the endgame content holds up. Anyone played the Beta of both games who could give a rundown on what they do similar and what they do differently?

I think for Gw2, its biggest competitor will be Diablo 3...but i haven't heard anything about any other MMos.

Maybe its just going to be an Anet/NcSoft v Blizzard thing again.

I'd actually say that TERA looks most like GW2. TERA is a subscription based game so it'll really have to pull no punches to get a hold on GW2's audience. Diablo 3 is a hack and slash, not a true MMO.

Radeon HD 5770 here. Same issue, random crashes a lot. Almost always happens if I alt tab during a period of heavy loading.

But the worst is the rubberbanding. It's gotten REALLY bad now. No other game has it, the only other was Bad Company 2, which wasn't fixed until the last patch they added, right before BF3 released.

Odd Advertisements on Videoes. Posted February 17th, 2012 in General

Anyone else been getting this lately? Be it Youtube or Blip.tv, sometimes you'll sit through an advert before your video and be baffled as to why it's that particular one.

For example, I was watching an AVGN episode and the preceeding advert was about a product that helps little kids stop wetting the bed. Make of that what you will.
