WHATS THIS? MY 7 YEAR OLD CARD CAN RUN SEVEN YEAR OLD GAMES PRETTY WELL! WHO'DA THUNK THAT!?

Don't hate the game, hate the player. WoW doesn't physically reach out and force you to play it.

If WoW hadn't existed I'd reckon that the MMO genre would be a rather different place. Like how the game has evoloved or not, WoW dominates the MMO scene for a good reason: People like it.

The big difference? I reckon a lot of MMOs would have tried to be different. Too many released since WoW's launch have simply tried to copy WoW and that is the path to doom.

Inexplictably however, upon booting the PC up today I have full 1920x1080 resolution on the internal graphics chip. 's not all bad I guess.

There's a red light on the video card when it tries to load windows. I think it's safe to say that many weeks of dust clogging has melted something important and ruined the card.

As it turns out, 6850 is right in my budget. I'm just wieghing it up against the GTX 550. Opinions?

So wait, the product that was delivered to you was faulty and you deemed the entire company's stock to be worthless? Far more likely to be an issue with the distributor that ATI/AMD themselves.

That said, the GTX 550 you linked is £10/£20 cheaper than the Superclocked GTX 460 on Overclockers. Proof that shopping around pays off people.

Got it from June 2010, am thinking it died due to sloppy dust cleaning on my part. Skyrim sent it to 81 degrees c at one point.

It's pretty damn dead. 1gb Radeon HD 5770.

Am looking for replacements people, budget of about £100 or so, don't care about make or model, just the best value for money.

Anyone got any suggestions? 1400x900 on the internal GFX and it's bleeding my eyes.

Because the class skills have all been put in. Make use of a skill, it gets better. Want to focus on being a sneaky daggery thief? Do that and Sneak and One Handed Weapons will increase in skill. Get bored of that? Switch to Destruction spells and fire Firebolts at things to make that better.

It's streamlined the experience, you will get better at what you choose to do, no class restrictions to get in the way when you realise, 10 hours in, that you kinda hate the magic system.

Yeah Magicka's netcode is a bit twatty. A shame because it's a really damn good co-op experience.

I'd say Duke Nukem Forever, which i paid £30 for, was a waste. However if i'd paid £5 like it's been in the recent Steam sales I'd be ok with it. It just doesn't warrant that big price tag.

Graphically it does not, the PC version had issues with not being able to tweak anything because it was a shitty console port.

Get Battlefield 3, it will give you many many more hours of entertainment for your money. Wait until Rage hits below the 10 dollar mark in a sale.

You only need to look to the hundreds of children who thought that ending their lives was a better idea than enduring the torment they got at school another day to figure out that you sir, are wrong.

My experience of being bullied for years during my school days has not made me a stronger person who can stand being made fun of. It has forced me to develop a high level of apathy to such a practice, leading to problems actually telling people to stop what they're doing when they're pushing it too far. What you are talking about is teasing among friends, not bullying.

and for fighting? well thats stupid, when my stepdad went to his city school you could pop someons ass no problem nowdays even if someone pulls a gun on you, well another thing you cant fight back at all, you have to wait for a teacher to get there. andy other personal stories?

There's nothing stopping you fighting back, you'll just get into trouble for doing so. Whether you should entirely depends on your knowledge of how well the school would deal with the situation if you stood there and took the blows from whoever is giving you a hard time. He'll get a serious punishment and forced to apologise? Sit there and take it. They'll slap him on the wrist? Then deck him.

Only pay attention to the no fighting rule if you feel the school will give the guy an appriopriate punishment for his actions. And when your hauled infront of the senior staff for fighting, tell them that's what will happen, that they will enforce discipline and punishment on those that pick fights with you or you will physically stand up for yourself.

And finally, if someone pops a gun on you, it's better to do what the nutjob says. Trying to be a hero in that situtation will more than likely get you killed for something that was simply not worth it.

It's not just the Daily Mail that's gotten on this story without contacting anyone involved.

From Sunday's The People:

"Yobbo's Trail of Tragedy"
By Keir Mudie

"-Last week goth Melody McDermott, 22, was left with a fractured eye socket after a similar hate assault in Bury, Lancs. Police are still looking for the thugs."

So yeah, turns out 5th October was last week, what brilliant investigative journalism we have these days.
