Robo From Chrono Trigger. I think I may have deviated from the original sprite too much. Since the sprite was small and not very detailed, I sort of added random things in.

Anyway to get camera movement? Posted November 25th, 2006 in Game Development

As in without moving the background or anything. Because what I want to do is to do a pan across while the animated charater stays where he is according to the background and not just stay in the center all the time. Having to move the charater with the background frame by frame causes it to look clunky and I just wonder if there is anyway to have a camera movement.

Response to: Why are most college profs. left? Posted April 11th, 2005 in Politics

I think most college professors are centrist. Reason being that all the professors I had didn't say anything biased. Even if they did, it wasn't very noticable. At first I was expecting my Math teacher to say something bad about George Bush when he started talking about the president. But then, he only mentioned his name and nothing else.

I would agree that most professors may be a little bit left wing, since they are very open and they dont discriminate against anyone. I, myself, have never encountered a professor that had a bias against right wingers EVER. So i dont know why some people exaggerate how professors threaten to fail someone just because of their right wing ideas.

If you one of those people that think professors are too liberal. The I suggest you to go to this right wing christian university www.bju.edu

Response to: Abortion, my view. Posted March 19th, 2005 in Politics

if I cant hear it cry, then I dont care if it dies.

I think that quote is going to offend millions, but who cares.

Also about the embryo thing. I learned in biology that the embryo is the same in ALL animals including humans. Until the embryo reaches a certain stage in which it isn't a embryo then it starts taking characteristics of whatever species the mother is. Or was it the zygote that was the same in all animals? I forgot.

Response to: Abortion, my view. Posted March 18th, 2005 in Politics

im sick of hearing about abortion. In my opinion It's not important AT ALL and I dont give a shit. Just leagalize it and get on with our lives. Its not like the entire country would suddenly get abortions if it was legal. Only a small minority of women are getting abortions or plan to.

Response to: To the Republicans Posted December 23rd, 2004 in Politics

Back on topic.
I do agree with hammurabi3 about how voting should be a concern for the benefit of society. But the people who vote based on religious values are probably doing exactly that. Because those type of people think that religious values will be a benefit to society so then they vote accordingly.

Response to: Guns are awesome! Posted December 23rd, 2004 in Politics

The topic title and my first post was obviously a hyperbole to the max but at the same time im being serious. (Because i believe that to get a message across just exaggerate it)

Im not saying that there are criminals everywhere, but i do believe that guns are a big deterent against crime. Why? Its because criminals usually dont pick on people with a potential to fight back.
As for the restrictions, I was exaggeration. Obviously there needs to be some regulations so little kids wont get their hands on it.

Guns are awesome! Posted December 23rd, 2004 in Politics

I dont understand why some people want more gun restrictions, it wont work!!! You think that america will be more safe if there are more gun restrictions but you are WRONG! The only way to prevent a criminal from putting a bullet in your head is to put a bullet in the criminal's head first.
Using words wont convince a criminal not to kill you because they will laugh really hard at your lame attempt to beg for mercy.

There are millions of reasons why guns are so good. First of all, its obvious that criminals will get their hands on guns whether you ban them or not. So then guns are THE BEST(for now) protection from criminals ever created, police are not. For example, a serial killer marches into your house. You then kill the serial killer, not only have you saved yourself but you have saved the lives of the entire neighborhood! YOU ARE NOW THE HERO!

Remember, freedom is also the freedom to protect yourself. So dont delay exercise your second amendment rights today!

*Ripped of from GTA:SA*(obviously it isn't word for word)
"Did you know it takes an average of 30 minutes for the police to arrive? By that time a criminal can have his way with your wife, have a smoke then flip her over and go in for seconds.

DONT LET THIS HAPPEN TO YOU!"
Buy a gun and protect yourself!

wow, i shouldn't have mentioned the word "abortion". Somehow i knew it would end up like this.

Response to: Seperation of Church and State Posted December 21st, 2004 in Politics

religion = incentive to be good. Even though im an agnostic, i still "borrow" some values from christianity such as "thou shall not kill", "thou shall not steal", and being nice to people. No matter what, religion will always play a role, big or small, in everyone's lives.

Like i said before, as long as religion does not gain too much power in politics im perfectly fine with the way "Seperation between church and state" is working.

Response to: Seperation of Church and State Posted December 21st, 2004 in Politics

I think the seperation between church and state is just fine. There isn't anything extreme like, "You must be christian or else youll pay a fine". As long as nothing like that happens its perfectly fine the way it is.

Besides, isn't there like 100 topics like these?

Response to: Liberals vs Conservatives=hilarity Posted December 21st, 2004 in Politics

unfortunetly liberals and conservatives who have intellegent conversations together are nearly non existent.

your right, they are dumbasses, i wished i had video taped that so i can watch it and laugh at it over and over again.

Liberals vs Conservatives=hilarity Posted December 21st, 2004 in Politics

I just couldn't stop laughing at what happened in the college i go to.
Recently a Anti-abortion group suddenly showed up at my campus. Then a large group of students start to gather up. A conservative starts giving his opinions while a liberal starts giving his opinions. Then the conservative started cussing at the liberal.
After several minutes you see a huge group of liberal students vs a huge group of conservative students constantly fighting.
I remember some parts of it.
Liberal: I support abortion because its a freedom of choice
Conservative: Then you must support killing babies!!
Liberal: What? Aren't you war supporting people supporting of the killings of babies in Iraq?
Conservative: That is a Lie! Our soldiers never killed anything.
(yes they actually said those exact words)
After that it was mostly cussing. It sorta reminded me of the uncle fucker song from south park the movie.

It just proves that liberals and conservatives are both stupid when it comes to arguments.

Response to: Ban suburbs Posted December 18th, 2004 in Politics

if you ban suburbs, more peope will go into the cities. But then traffic will increase by ALOT and pollution levels will arise. Even though it will help city funding of certain programs, its just not worth it.

What if... Posted December 17th, 2004 in Politics

A:
All democrats and liberals were gone? and the entire country is conservative?

B:
(vice versa)

Heres what I think if liberals were gone, all republicans would be happy (obviously). But we would see a serious decline in health care and such because conservatives would invest in more business concerns belive that it would naturally fund social programs. Businesses would become more corrupt because there would be very few regulations.

If conservatives were gone, taxes would be ultra high. Businesses would be required to follow excessive amounts of regulations therefore we would see a decline in businesses. Too much money would be spent on welfare making some people lazy and unproductive.

So what are YOUR predictions?

Response to: Constitution. Guns. Workplace. Posted December 13th, 2004 in Politics

90% of people who have gun licenses never used it for a crime, only in self defense. You do realize that cities with the strictest gun laws tend to have more murders? Also police aren't that reliable, it takes an average of 30 mintues for cops to arrive to the scene.
I do realize that there are many people who are completely opposed to guns due to the fact thousands die each year due to it. However, thousands of people claim that their lives were saved because they had a gun. So it goes both ways. But, since im a strong believer "in self defense by any means nessesary" im totally pro-guns.

Response to: Constitution. Guns. Workplace. Posted December 13th, 2004 in Politics

im a strong believer in self defense. Thats why im pro-gun. I think that if everyone (who is innocent and a good person) owned a gun there would be alot less crime in the streets. Robbers and criminals fear one thing more than cops, that is the victim's ability to retaliate.

Response to: Pro-life. Posted December 13th, 2004 in Politics

abortion should be allowed but to a certain extent. Like what other people said, abortions should be allowed if it is life threatening to the mother. But, if a teen accidently gets pregnant for being irresponsible. Then no way that teen is getting an abortion.

Response to: Do we really need Reps and Dems? Posted December 13th, 2004 in Politics

I do agree that a third major party should be introduced into the 2 party system, even though i prefer that there would be none. Like antiAngelicAngel said, we need a third party that is middle ground. That way people who support certain democratic issues and certain conservative issues have a place.

Response to: Why are College Students Liberal? Posted December 11th, 2004 in Politics

not all College Students are liberal. My college has a large number of liberals but it has a significant number of republicans too. On the college newspaper you often see them battle it out in the opinion section, its a fun read.

Do we really need Reps and Dems? Posted December 10th, 2004 in Politics

i dont think we really need those two parties. I still dont know why people constantly cling to their "party" and always vote for them no matter what. I truly think that america would be more democratic if everyone wasn't aligned to a party. But unfortunetly it will never happen.

It is nessesary to have a Republican and a Democratic part or any party at all?
