Put the eq before the compressor, take away the soft clipper and soundgoodizer = success.

i wasn't listing them in order, just saying what i did. I could try taking the sound goodizer away i guess and see what it sounds like. right now i was just making a generic thing to see what it would sound like after tips. let me post a link and see if it sounds bad mixing wise.

haven't really editing the kick or anything. just sorta messing around.

i also did soundgoodizer a and did the soft clipper and parametric eq 2 set to master and hq. i tested it and it doesn't seem to be distorting but if there is anything else that i can do i would like to know.

it might be the mixing but i just want to know how to fix it. is there something mastering wise i could do...?

you think that might be it? i know alot of commercial stuff is in mp4 format now. if thats all it is then that should actually help as i can just re-convert my tracks to a different format.

Okay what do you mean by volume?

Are you talking about the master volume INSIDE FL 9? The volume knob on your speakers? A volume fader in windows or web software?

I'm assuming you mean the volume inside FL9, as cranking the master will ALWAYS cause distortion. You'll need some kind of dynamics processor like a limiter or other to manage this issue. I don't have time right now but I'm sure someone else will fill you in

no i meant on the actual volume of a speaker. in fl there is always crackling but once i export it to mp3 it sounds fine. just when you turn the volume up on an actual system speaker it starts to distort on the louder settings and i was wondering how to fix this.

oh boy, sounds like an awesome and sexy time. i want in. i can build leads off of any rhythm and i have a bunch of experience in electronic music, even been in the top 30 quiet a few times.

yeah there are a few, the leo and satan theme is quite good imo. but i mean things like the nyan cat remix, which I am pretty sure all the guy did was take the midi files of the original and then change the instruments to 8-bit, shouldn't be ranked as high as they are, but it was featured in a picco day flash so naturally he gets a bunch of downloads for something no even original.

doesn't mean you are king of the audio portal. seriously, i know that newgrounds is a site made for flash vids but i find it unfair that guys who make less than mediocre music get so many plays and downloads just because they make a few flash videos.

all I know is they worked for me and they fit within my budget. when i get dj tables i might upgrade but for headphones they work fine. i prefer mixing with speakers anyways but with the adjustable sound card option it gives me three different ways of hearing my songs all in the same headphones. so I like them. if you have a different view thats cool but they work fine for me.

if you want rock beats i would suggest pro tools. top of the line recording program used by pros. plus there is a midi plugin called ez drummer that has pretty realistic drum beats and you can customize them to make your own. it only works for mac though.

idk if this one is my "best" but it is my most popular so far.

gamecon plantronics. they are gaming headset headphones but it has 7.1 surround sound built directly into the headphones, plus it comes with it's own usb detachable sound card which means even if you have a shitty sound card this one will add onto the awesomeness. I use them to mix ALL the time and the cost me about 80 bucks at microcenter.

ok, so what i use to do is i would upload a demo and then I was able to upload the updated version of the song on the same track demo, that way the comments and rates and stuff would be the same. but now it seems that I actually have to upload an entirely new track in order to do this. is anyone else have problems like this...?

is anyone else getting these random system scan error things that says your computer has a virus when you go to newgrounds sometimes? i know it's not my computer because i have done it on both of mine and a few friends and it happens on all of them.
