Luis suggested that the beach would be a lot more appealing, and I agree, since this is the first time I know everybody is not very sure wether or not this meetup is gonna work. In fact I am getting little attention because of that.

Anyways, next week I will be evaluating all the opinions so far, and will release or two locations to choose from.

I gotta give credit to Calderon, he actually tries, that's about it. The fact that AMLO is still on, makes me hate the Mexican political scene.

I agree, AMLO is a huge pile of shit. I used to date a girl that supported him, sometimes I feel luck that didnt work out.

Ok no more politics, lets get to business...

Hahahaha, that is something I am absolutely aware of, but do we really want 13-15 yr old guys completely drunk? I have seen it, and I dont want to ruin the joy of the gathering. But oh well, if you are underage and you can get alcohol, what can I do about it. Anyways I dont to worry a lot about that now.

Well, its getting better, in my opinion what really lets down Mexico is burocracy. A lot of polititians are pretty good, the president may not be very supportive of the poor, but he is doing a good job against the eeconomic crisis, in my opinion ofc.

As far as I get, this Mexico meet-up is being done so mexican newgrounders can hang around a while and know each other. Of course people from other countries can come, but that would be pretty unlikely. So, I guess there's no problem. Mexican people know Mexico is not the dangerous place the USA News shows you it is. I've been living here all my life and had never been kidnapped, robbed or anything like that. Only morons would go to those dangerous places where you can actually be in troubles, and we are clearly not going to plan a meet-up on a place like that. So please, please, if you are just coming up to this thread to make racist jokes about mexicans, please get out and stop botherin. Us mexicans have exactly the same rights as anyone else to be respected and to do meet-ups if we fucking feel like to.

I'm not trying to be agressive with anyone but sometimes people can just make me nuts. Peace.

Thats right, I believe you meant place like ciudad Juarez, and parts of mexico city like Iztapalapa, Ciudad Neza and so on. Well my foreign peers, let me tell you one thing, I am worried about your security, and as well I am aware of which places are "the wrong end of town", Its not like theres a guy wanting to rob you everywhere. Like most jobs, thieves follow a schedule, and are restricted to certain areas. Consider that such economic situation that pushes you to rob may restrict you from bribing cops, therefore they become your enemies. So as a mugger, you would not roam the areas where cops are likely to patrol, you would be "working" somewhere where your collegues can give you some back up hidding you or whatsoever.

Thats basically your average thief pattern. But if you are interested on a satire of daily life in mexico city, watch the CCC city series here on newgrounds. BTW I think I should ask Vinnie Veritas to come.

Another reason mexico is a bad place for this.

I don't wanna hear how a bunch of NG'ers got kidnapped and trained to be assassins for the mexican cartel..

Which I believe is higher than alot of the mafia families.. Correct me if I am wrong.

Your ignorance is pissing me off, if you do not want to assist then dont even bother posting. And the link I provided from the WHO was to show there have been much more cases of swine flu in the US than in Mexico. Also you can get a proper health care here in the remote case you fall sick, the normal flu you clam to be killing people, well is nothing to be worried about either Mr statistics, because those that have died are mostly elder or people that for several reasons never visited the doctor.

fucking drug war's.

You are right, and thats something I am concerned about, although gunfire is restricted to mobsters and the army, there have been casualties and as much as we might enjoy the madness series I am sure its not a fun situation to be in. So for obvious reasons we should avoid northern states.

Yes, thats right, the north is the most affected. But Mexico city is free of Machinegun showdowns.

I'm from Mexico city, but since I'm just 15 years old (yeah, I know) it's quite difficult for me going anywhere too far (and it's not legal for me to drink so shit).

Well, we could do non alcoholic stuff, I mean for the underaged. Though I have no idea what that could be.

Tom suggested a beach location, I think its a fantastic idea. Personally I believe Acapulco is seriously over rated, while there are tons of places with x100 nicer beaches and x10 cheaper hotels.

Veracruz and Oaxaca are the two states I know the best when it comes to beaches, I dont know a lot about the rest though.

Well its not socially acceptable at all now, at least nowhere near where I live. I agree Genocide is definetely, something to puke about, but you got to understand that not every single preacher participated in the Spanish inquisition, nor do they support it at all. I think its a bit hipocritical to turn away from church with the genocide argument and then believe in Nordic Gods, being that they also promoted wars. But so be it, if thats what you like, I just hope your believes arent contradictory with your own arguments.

I havent decided for a faith yet, but Jesus alone was really cool if ou really analyse him. Buddha, I dont know a lot about him, but he was cool too.

For geographically obvious reasons, this thread is meant for people living in Mexico.

I belive it would be nice to organize a little get together with people that live here in Mexico, and being this such a huge country, I want to choose the best location for the meet up therefore Its important you tell me:
-your nationality
-which state do you live in
-how far are you be willing to travel in order to assist
- any comments at all

Example:
I live in Queretaro, but I am willing to travel to Mexico city, but if we made the meetup here, we could use my house, unless we get more then 20 people.

If you are interestedl please post back, PM me and/or raise some awareness, it will be appreciated.

POST BACK IN ENGLISH, forum rules are a bit harsh about non english posts. But thats not a problem or is it?
