Nature's Grand Symphony
Posted last night and got destroyed...
Reviews will be returned, thanks!
Thanks! I figured there was some extremely simple method to this.
I'm using flash professional 8 and just trying to animate for the fun of it right now. I was wondering if there was a way to always have the previous frame superimposed onto the current frame, ie., as a guideline when animating one frame at a time. Thanks
Woo hoo redesign
I haven't been on this site much for about two months but the redesign might stoke the fires of my Newgrounds addiction once again.
Did anyone miss me? :)
just kidding i'm sure you all did.
I'm the eighth greatest Pico Loop composer ever.

You shoulda put links so people can... I don't know... check out the winners? Yeah, you should do that, it'd be swell.
=D thanks, I'd do it myself but that'd be self advertising and self advertising is wrong.
and I'm lazy?

Haha, I was just messin. I'm really glad to be in the top 10 its actually quite an achievement for me. The number 1 loop definitely deserves the number 1 spot and since the rest of the prizes are all the same, I can't complain =).
I'm just going to judge or stay out of the next MAC because I don't even understand it.
Thanks to the 3 judges who nominated Glitch and congrats to the winners.
Well that was fun
congrats to the 7 bastards who beat me.

Well I would but apparently 5 other people are so I'll just download their recordings 8).
T-Minus 13 minutes!
!
Gee Willickers.!
I just got into flash so this may be wrong, but I heard in a flash it is better to use wavs because they compress better. I don't know if that means size or sound quality - probably the latter.
If you decide to use mp3 check out this asshole's mp3 looping tutorial.
As for using an intro and looping the middle, thats easy. Slice the intro of and use it as a different song. Que the middle to loop after the intro has finished. This will probably take some damn good AS skills, but its the only thing I can come up with. Slicing up the song would be easy, just download audacity (its free) and use your noggin' to figure the rest out.
Maestro you're the shit if you don't quit this nonsense and enter the contest I'll cry. I will also kill ever panda left in this god forsaken world.
Is that what you want?

I concur.
I don't use reason or Audacity, but instead FL and Audition. Its a lot easier to work on the song in the production softwar, then render it and do the vocals in a program that can do record and layer multiple tracks. I'd recommend you just do that instead.
I do this for guitar also, and if I want distortion, I record like I would vocals, then make a new FL project and render the guitar with whatever effects I want and finally, I go back to the audition and put the wet guitar track in with the rest of the beat and vocals, etc.
Whoo hoo about time.
And cash prizes again? Damn thats spiffy, makes me change my mind about judging this one. If I don't get anything done I will for sure though. Damn so busy but I'm sure I have something laying around I can submit.

Thats the best way to praise Satan, Duh.

Scroll down to the list. Plenty of good loops under 60 seconds
:'(
Thats ok when I get flash I'll make 20 movies and use only my own music muahhaha
I'm glad this is taking long, I want to review all these and its taking longer than I thought it would.
Good luck everybody, since i started reviewing, I've become much less confident =!

Hardcore! I'm not advertising, I just think this needs a bump.
I mean I'm like patient and all but. ugh, like theriously...

Haha they just argue about the existence of a "similar" thread for the first page and how stupid the new one is for the first page... Well typical AF thread I guess.

Funny, I didn't realize that... but if YOU say so I might as well go swallow some poison, shoot myself in the kidney and die with no expectations of my entry winning.
Just to let you know, I'll be there to rear your child.
Thats just wrong in so many ways....
Congratulations B0UNC3. I'm insulted by your comment though... If I ever accidentally get a girl pregnant, my kids going to be writing and performing symphonies by the time he or she is 6 and they'd better be damn good or no dessert.
SirSloth and I are planning to enter the Rock Out Contest - [Flash Forum Link].
Neither of us are skilled enough in action script and any type of programming necessary for taking on the complexity of our game. A well experienced, serious, amateur coder to help us script the game is needed.
SirSloth and (in part) myself are taking on the game design. Graphics, interface, etc. We have an idea put together already and have started working on the basics.
I am doing a majority of the music as well as picking out some tracks from other artist on the AP (and possible remastering if necessary). This includes songs from an old account that I will remix as well as extended versions of a few of the loops I have posted on this account.
We are serious about getting this done and looking at very short amount of time to finish this - we need someone fast and we need someone serious.
The prizes for the contest (see either of the links above) are very big for this contest, and top ten is all it takes to win. They will be split evenly or worked out in a manner that seems fair when we complete our flash and if we win - and we do plan on it. If you're interested PM Sirsloth or PM me and we will discuss the details further with you. Alternatively, if you're interested - post in this forum and we can talk about it here.
Thanks!

Suck a dick, thats all I got.
I have a question... I was going to make a thread but its not worth it.
So the question - is it possible to widen your vocal range? Like I can never match that low E on a guitar and I'd like to be able to. I can hit about a F#-G sometimes an F and its really bad sounding.
And if so, of course - How?
And if so - By how much?
We need a thread on singing...
Well no one else is responding to this so I'll give it a shot although I've never used audacity and I don't know what Fire Warrior is. =) at the very least I'll bump the thread right?
I'd do one or more of the following things, keep in mind I've never tried this.
-Lower the pitch of the voice. Talking in falsetto and then lowering the pitch might give it the right effect. Otherwise talking low and raising the pitch? Try both if there two different characters and you want recognizable voices.
-Use a filter to get rid of the lower tones. Lowering all frequencies except ~800-3000Hz will give it that answering machine sound. Try messing around until it sounds good to you.
-Use the flanger effect - this is probably you're best bet and you might want to do this before messing with pitch and filters to get the right effect. Of course I'm not sure how good audacity's flanger effect is, but if you can mess with it, make it fast and wide.
-Alternatively use a quick echo - really quick. That might give you a cool robotic sound.
Shit I don't know use the wah-wah. Have you even tried any of these effects? Audacity has them, if you put some effort into experimenting, I'm sure you'd get the results you want.
Well good luck, hope that helps
This is a great idea I need to somehow learn flash really really fast.
I'm guessing the audio artists get nothing for their contributions?
