There is something that does amaze me. We live in a world where many people believe there is a God of some type. Others take it even further like heaven and hell. What amazes me is the number of people that believe aliens are not out there. God and aliens are both supernatural. However, we know humans exist on this planet so why will people not believe aliens don't exist on another planet? What are your thoughts and do you believe in God/aliens.

The bottom 50% of tax payers pay less than 4% of total tax revenues. The rich are doing enough.

Okay, but let's look at incomes. For example, let's just say the income tax rate is 10%. A person who makes 100,000 a year would pay 10,000 in income tax. A person who makes 50,000 a year would pay 5,000 in income tax. Yes, 10,000 is more than 5,000. However, the person who makes 50,000 per year is more affected unless the person who makes 100,000 really likes to shop.

It is ridiculous how the middle class takes care of the poor the most. I mean the rich should be helping out more. The poor won't have taxes at least. I mean that will help them in a way. They should be able to find a job. I believe in you earn what you do.

Cops are just doing their job. They are assigned to do what they do. It is stupid how people automatically point fingers at them for getting them in trouble. Police can only get you in trouble if YOU break the law. People complain about getting tickets for going 5 over the speed limit. The speed limit is a law that should be followed on the road. You broke it so now you have to face consequences.

I'd much rather have an overprotective police force then a less protective one.

The grading system needs to be changed back to 90-100% is an A, 80-89% is a B, and so on. I hate how they have A-, B-, C-, and so on.

As for getting kids more involved, I say they need to actually care about the kids. I mean they should find out what the kids want to be when they grow up. Then, get them in classes and activities that have something to do with their hopeful career. The kids will learn if they want to do it or not. If they want to do it, they will pay more attention in class.

I want to be a doctor but there are really no medical classes at my school. However, I go to programs with hospitals because I am mature enough to handle it. I can't say many of my peers are the same way. this is why they need to actually care about the students instead of their fucking paychecks. "No child left behind'. BULLSHIT!

My school is getting rid of the janitors and bringing in criminals. Yes, criminals are going to be in my school. They say "Oh, but they are not bad criminals." Uhhh, if a person breaks a law, I'm pretty sure they are bad. It is ridiculous since the top administrators are still making six digits a year. We need to care about the students, teachers, janitors, and the people who actually mold the kids into fine adults.

We did not make global warming but we are speeding it up. We can slow or possibly stop the process. Our sun is getting older which means it is getting warmer and will turn into a red giant (in a couple billion years). The point is that we need to start preserving our environment so we have more time to figure out how to stop it.

There used to be a law (which I think they recently got rid of) that stated you could not harm someone in your home unless they did bodily harm to you first. Someone could rob your house without touching you and you can't hit them. There was a man who robbed a woman and tripped over her porch steps as he left her house. He ended up sueing her because he broke his arm. I think she ended up owing him around $2 million. I am not sure if that is a true story but people said they saw it in the news.

I think welfare is ridiculous unless the person is seriously injured where they can't go to work. Although, I think the business works that out with the employee. For example if they are pregnant or just had surgery done. Otherwise, you earn what you do. I don't think hard workers like me (Yes, I work at a store) should be paying for slackers that don't care at all. I know there are people who get laid off so maybe they should be exceptions. However, people who have not worked a day of their life should not be rewarded with cash.

What's better? Some random kids protesting against scientology, or muslims saying "if we find Salman Rushdie, WE'LL FUCKING KILL HIM".
It's very possible that one day, the kind of bullshit muslims pull won't be around and we'll all be better for it.

What? We have free religion already. They think hey OWN marriage, that's how arrogant they are.
Well they DON'T so though shit.

They own the priesthood, so they can deny gays entry to that as much as they want.

The important think is to see WHY religion failed them. What kind of religion do they have?
They have a theocracy with a really STRICT and UNFAIR religion. What happens when you have that? People know it's not fair, so they will fight against you, and the only way to make this go away is to be REALLY REALLY strict.
That means beating women, killing nonbelievers, killing people who talk badly of your religion, killing people who commit the most minor of crimes etc.

We're not there yet and I don't think we can go back, but look at the history of the christian nations and the history of the muslims, it's quite telling. They were on par with the romans and the greeks all the way up till the crusades or so when religious fervor nipped their enlightment in the bud. They started burning "heathen" documents etc. and it was the christian nations who saved most of it and who had their own enligtment and here we are today, far more advanced socially, economically and technologically than they are, and we started out BEHIND them after the roman empire fell.

That's what happens when you pick religion over everything else. Religion is NOT an agent of change and progress, it is a resistor. Regardless of wether a religion would be good, bad, fair, unfair, we know for certain that they don't want things to change because as a premise to all religions is the "we're right, this is the word of God for now and forever".

You make some good points. I must say that you are a good debater. Now, I remember the times when the church had absolute power back 400-500 years ago. They lied to the people because "God told them what to say." I guess it would cause conflict if someone killed another person for religious beliefs.

Hey, that is how you get off easy. Say, "Jesus told me he was a bad man and God was going to kill me if I didn't do it." The jury thinks you're crazy, you spend a few years in a mental institution, and you are free to go. Pretty sad. Sorry to go a little off-topic but it kind of goes along with what I am saying.

2. Why do you keep comparing one achievement to another? Ok, we can fly to the moon, but it costs BILLIONS of US dollars and COUNTLESS man hours of research and devolopment. Regardless, it has no relevence to alternate fuels for vehicles.
3. Read this The batteries are either too expensive or not powerful enough.

nuff said, just google problems with electric cars and you'll get a whole load of reasons why it's a bad idea.

How? We can get fuel from many different plants, animals and their waste.
I see you never actually read my link. So I'm going to simplify it for you.
kiss kiss

Alright, let's start with the electric bill versus the gas bill. The average home pays 10 cents per kWh. This averages out to around $88 a month for a home. 88 multiplied by 12 = $1044. The average person pays $2000 for gas each year. I highly doubt a car would even use as much energy as a whole house.
Link

1. I meant to say small particles but we can still teleport. Evidence
2. Why can't you catch on to what I am saying? If we had the technology back then to send man to the moon, why can't we build an affordable electric car now? That is why I am making the connection. Technology has advanced so much since then.
3. We could put more research into it. I am pretty sure they could find a battery for an electric car if they had the right funding.

We would need more factories to turn the waste into biofuel. Eventually, we will overpopulate so there would be too much of a demand. The new people would also take up land so where would you put these new factories? You have to look at the big picture before you say it is renewable.

I know there are alternatives. That is why I said AFFORDABLE electric cars. My argument is why don't we have it now. That is why I mentioned the whole moon landing. I question if you actually read my post or just assumed it was me complaining about gas prices.
We don't have it now simply because:
1. Your electric bill would be enourmous
2. batteries and components are incredibly expensive or not powerful enough
3. we dont have practicle applications or the technology to make it cheaper or more practicle than every other alternative.
There IS another alternative called biofuel. There wouldn't be much need to change the vehicles we have now.
It's cheaper than your theory and a renewable source.
With love xxx

Okay, I can't suggest ideas for them to try out? You are basically saying that I should not have an opinion about anything.

Wow, you got 3 sentences of my almost 30 sentence rant. Yeah, I was totally complaining about the gas prices.

The electric bill would be big but gas would be bigger. I am pretty sure we have the technology to make an affordable electric car. I mean we can teleport small objects but we can't make an electric car at a cheap price? Biofuel would not solve any of the problems we have with regular fuel. The only thing is that it is renewable. However, we would still be dependent on it and prices would still rise.

You keep telling me to stop bitching about something that actually matters when you are bitching over a thread on an online forum.
