Meh. GOW has its goods and its bads. Excellent graphics and realistic play all account for the good sides of it, but there isn't a strong storyline.

AfroJustice, I agree with your view on Fascism. I put this on another forum and a had one person who came up with some very good arguments. I think you, and all other strong Fascism supporters like myself, should take a look at this.
Everything in your post about facsism can more or less be negated with the smallest level or understanding of either the social or economic priniciples which govern the world around us. Not only do the arguments not apply to the real world, but your political philosophies are more or less an insult to free people everywhere.
Nationalism
The premise of nations is based upon two factors. That is the basis of restricting the rights of individuals to travel freely, and to consolidate power to infringe upon the rights of other individuals everywhere. The idea that all nations must either take or maintain as much power as possible is conducive to creating an international state of conflict. The state does not come first. The original idea of a state was as a body to either further or to maintain the rights of individuals. While it may have been flawed from the start, a larger power basis of a state establishes a lower quality of life for all citizens save those in power. You say that the state is organic and is an extension of the people. You say that the state is an extension of the people, but at the same time you believe in a smaller government which cuts those people from their representation. Facism goes against the principles of the state you suggest in that it removes the very purpose of a state. You further tell us a state must progress the needs of its people. Great. Then you say that the wants of the people are superceded by the needs of the people, needs that the state is somehow capable to decide. What an individual needs to be happy is determined on an individual basis, not by the state. If a nation restricts everything the people want in order to allow the government to provide the people with their needs, not only is revolution practically gaurenteed, but the quality of life for the masses collapses. In short, nationalism causes unnecessary conflict, war, death, and unhapiness.
Militarism
Your romantic view of the military, as a cache of honor, integrity, ad sacrifice, is inherently flawed bvy the very premise militaries are based upon. War and conflict are very real, and very terrible things, as can be seen in every conflict fought in all of human history. Further, your idea that the military provides resources for the people is bogus, in the USA alone, the military budget comprises of the single largest chunk of the federal budget, with the exception of Medicare. All those "resources" being used to build larger and more lethal weapons aree resources being held away from education, health, foreign aid, domestic aid, domestic services (police and FD's), and infrastructure. The only way a military could "give back"(and this is a loose term), is through the intervention, and subsequent raping, of another country. If the so called "aims" of the fascist state are terror, martial law, and wanton looting of other people's homes, the military is the ideal way to achieve those aims. Finally...sticks and carrots diplomacy. The state is a more powerful weapon of diplomacy!?! If the goal is cross border conflict, death, and war maybe...You forget, or maybe never knew, that before WWI, the nations of Europe were enjoying the largest militaries in history. Many leaders of the time thought that everyone having such large forces would dissuade any nation from invading another...and then...1914 heralded the greatest consistent wave of violence since the years of Vlad the Impaler. One last thing, the military doesnt mobilize the economy, in fact, wartime economies nine times out of ten have resulted in subsequent economic collapses and depressions (see US depression, Weimar Germany, Carter USA). The military takes public spending from where it is needed, and channels those funds into the promotion of state sponsored terror.
Totalitarianism

First things first, democracy is power to the majority, not the minority, and your claims that people arent smart enough to vote for their interests is arrogance on the scale of operation Barbarossa (if you didnt know what that is, thats when Hitler invaded Russia). You say democracy puts power in the wrong hands, sanity says that fascism puts power in the wrong HAND. A population will never be happy with one size fits all governance, which...is the basis of most of your arguments. Whose right is it to determine whether the people are healthy? The people? maybe? so how about let the PEOPLE decide their interests...like vote? or something..oh yeah, we already do that, its called DEMOCRACY (its not the best, but its better than your selfish dictadorial insight into government).
Opposition to Communism, Liberalism, and Laissez-faire capitalism
Hmm...opposition to communism is good, but your ideas are vague and kind of intangible. You would be better off to argue against the economic assumptions of communism, all of which were written by two guys who were definately NOT economists, Lenin and Marx. Btw, where did you argue against liberalism? That aside, Laissez-faire capitalism is the way to go. What better way is there to give people freedom than to allow them to buy, sell, and take financial risks free of the yoke of government interference. You know, many times in the 20th century and even before, the government tried to interfere in the economy...it worked 0 times. Your vague idealistic idea of Corporatism is mainly just thinly veiled Keynesian economics. You're asking for business owners, who took a risk even creating their businesses, to hire and fire according to the rules of the state? That sounds like communism...Then you want a "common policy" for all industry? What is this common policy? does it have anything to do with your warmongering militaristic foreign policy? Should industry focus on arming the club of the state? Finally, you seem to misunderstand China...China has been consistently ignoring its people for over five decades, dictating domestic policy first to Mao's insane ideals, and now to the priviledged elite of China's ruling classes. Most Chinese live in conditions inhuman by any standards, and the "benelovent" governemt you idealize, has expanded its economy on the premise of forced labor, stringent social control, and wanton destruction of the environment. By the way, take an econ class, you'll learn that all this economic expansion has shifted Aggregate Demand right, raising the price level. All that inflation leads nowhere good, just wait.
Class Warfare
The gist of your arguement is that classes of society must remain constant. Your perfect world of fascism leaves no room for social or economic advancement through hard work, instead, it keeps the rich rich, the poor poor, and the middle class, firmly middle class. Whats keeping your rich citizens, whom you're forcing to invest, from moving, and putting their money else where? What right does the government have to dictate that the lower class must engage in labor to make ends meet? None. Individuals have the right to advance themselves, and nothing can justify the state interfering with that right.
Inequality of the people
A simple counter, if some people are meant to be leaders, and some followers, then why not let them VOTE for their interests, rather then have their interests dictated to them.
I agree. Fascism, imo, is one of the best forms of government. I am also a firm supporter of Confederacies. If the United States was a confederacy, Louisiana(where I live) would be extremely rich.
