There are 2 game shops in my town. One of which is very business like, and the people who work there no jack-all about games (the place is called GAME). The other place (Gamestation) is really friendly, and the guys pretty much all know me there. I don't go there too often, but when I do I tend to get into conversations with the staff. They're so friendly that they got themselves out of a sale by recommending that I don't buy the game I was planning to. Definately better when they are more learned about games.

Fucking epic.

The release of The Hobbit: Part 1 is stated for 2011. Part 2 is 2013 I believe.

Anyhow, I'm currently reading The Two Towers. Interesting to see how it compares with the movie. And also interesting that the pile of books beside my bed is probably large enough to count as the third tower...

The Twilight series isn't actually all that bad. Nothing special, but not bad. The fanbase ruins it.

Actually, I'm pretty sure it comes from the electronics term "cell", which is what we regularly call a battery.

So basically, cellphone means battery-phone. Mobile phone is what it says, a phone that you carry around. It's just a different take on it.

Get a Nokia, those things are freaking invincible.

I had endless fun with a friend's Nokia by bouncing it against a wall, like in The Great Escape.

It still worked afterwards.

Not all movies now are shit. A fair few are good.
The resaon that more seem shit compared to, lets say the 90's, is because shit movies from the 90's aren't remembered. People tend to remember good films rather than bad ones. It's all nostalgia people. Shit movies have always existed and always will. Get used to it.

Don't believe me?

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0108255/ - 3.8/10 (1993)
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0058548/ - 2.2/10 (1964)

A couple of examples for you.

Not really.... nothing actually progresses as a result of the encounter with him, hence why he was left out of the films.

Difficult to choose a favourite.
My favourite Hobbit is easily Pippin, because he's hilarious.
Favourite Fellowship member is either Aragorn, Gimli or Sam. Probably Sam. (Not including Pippin)
Favourite non-Fellowship character is Gollum/Smeagol.
Favourite character.... hard to say... probably Sam if we're going for a great character, or Gimli if we're going for comedy.
