Response to: Flash Theme Song (Opinions needed!) Posted May 3rd, 2009 in Game Development

Your question resembles showcasing drawn art to a blind man.
Often, music suits the Flash's mood, and we'd have to know all about your Flash to decide a theme.

HarmoniousSoundBa lance help Posted March 22nd, 2009 in Game Development

I've added no sounds to my WIP'ed Flash so far. It is part of a series and has 3 sections to it:
Talk/info/story Scene
Action Scene
Talk/info/story Scene.

I was thinking about adding music to the battle scene only, but the rest of the silence wouldn't fit in well.
If I added sounds to a scene, I'd need to add more and more sound to make it fully effective, because once you have one sound, more is needed.
In a different case I could add more music to the two outermost scenes, but I don't know of any sounds that would fit in well with a non-action atmosphere.

In this case I'm not sure what to do or what option to choose, so I'm looking for others' opinions.
Thoughts?

I don't know how to create a section for yourself for your own series. Do you ask an admin or something?

Response to: How do I convert swfs into .flas? Posted March 4th, 2009 in Game Development

Import the swf onto your Flash interface. As far as I know this is the only way.

Response to: Explain your animation style... Posted February 15th, 2009 in Game Development

I use the pencil tool and blur effect combination.
Using angles and slo-motion I can emphasize important moments in battles while keeping the rest quickly paced.

Response to: hey easy question.. help please! Posted January 27th, 2009 in Game Development

I used to be a failure that got blammed all the time.
I wanted to be like the professional animators that created such beautiful works of art.
Now I'm close.
I don't get blammed.
If I color my stuff, add sound, and finish, I'll make the front page.
IF you're interested in learning something, I'll give you a link to my first flash, then to my latest Flash.
You'll be in awe at the difference.

This is an offer for a collaboration project in which one of my characters will take on the character of another animator. This animator will not be picked randomly from the gutter, but is required to be able to animate in a smooth and quickly-paced manner. See my Flash if you need to for an example, preferably my latest one: Flight.
The Flash will be composed as so:
[We both get detailed on each other's characters]
[I animate a section]
[______ animates a section]

...and so on, until the fight has been finished.
The script will be planned before the Flash has begun.

Tweening is allowed, coloring is not required, but is welcomed.
Anyone's welcome to apply for the position of ____.

Response to: Looking to hire an animator... pay$ Posted June 22nd, 2008 in Game Development

Instead of 250 bucks, you could paypal 30 bucks for a sort of good job. I can have a smooth B & W animation done, but I can guarantee no proness when it comes to coloring.

Response to: Flash animation question. Posted July 8th, 2007 in Game Development

Well, either you can use a V-Cam, or a motion tweeeeeeen.

Response to: i need drawing skills.. Posted June 18th, 2007 in Game Development

How about creating a layer for your rough outline, and then draw your detailed version over it?
That's what I do sometimes.

Response to: Make me something. Posted June 8th, 2007 in Game Development

Err, I would, but I have sort of a deadline to keep up to on another flash o fmine. Why don't you try to make the assignment of your more appealing to people...y'know, make it sound fun or whatnot. How about having a certain category, or certain characters in the animation or whatever....hmm maybe that would cause too much restrictons...
Well, good luck trying to get someone to animate for you! :)

Calling all voice actors! Posted May 22nd, 2007 in Game Development

Hi all you newgrounds members, this is Hitokiri_Dono, version 2007, (I did not exist previously, remember that.)
I have no mic for my computer and I think voice actors would prolly make my series better. It's called Rioshu the Apparition Hunter and I have made two eps. So if you're interested in being a voice actor, watch em and send me a sample of your voice, along with the character that you would like to become.
Fate will decide the rest.

free music making program? Posted May 15th, 2007 in Game Development

Response to: How do you create a stickfigure? Posted August 20th, 2006 in Game Development

thanks

I don't mean the ones that are hand drawn, I mean the xiao xiao looking ones, because they don't look hand drawn. So i was wondering how you make them.

Okay, here's the dealio. When I tween an animated movie clip, it tweens, but stays at the first frame.. I've tried countless times to make it work aga in. Can you tell me how to animate a tweened movie clip? I made it work some other time, but I don't know what I did.

And I'm not talking about blur. How can you make the picture, while staying sharp, fade away into complete dissapearance?

Response to: How do you make an object fade away Posted July 9th, 2006 in Game Development

I already resolved this by replying to the pm that's an exact replica of that post.
It's over

Response to: How do you do the energy effects? Posted June 12th, 2006 in Game Development

But the stuff was totally unnessasary, and you didn't answer my question. It was supposed to be a special kind of effect, as you could have seen if you acually saw what i told you.
Idiot.
