Yeah, but it would lose it's purpose. No one would be physicly superiour to anyone.

So perhaps it would be better than now, where some are vulnerable? Or actually, I suppose it all comes down to numbers in the end anyway. Just stay in a group when you're in a dodgy area.

Lol, I actually do wish our democracy was more like the US one. I mean, you do know that more people voted AGAINST blair than FOR him last election?

But you know, we have a billion parties sharing all the votes, so he got in with only a third of the country wanting him.

Although I bet in the US a guys SHEEP don't have votes! Like they do / have done here!

Anti-americanism Is Racist Envy Posted June 21st, 2006 in Politics

http://www.forbes.co..l/2003/0721/017.html

First, an unadmitted contempt for democracy. The U.S. is the world's most successful democracy. The right of voters to elect more than 80,000 public officials, the length and thoroughness of electoral campaigns, the pervasiveness of the media and the almost daily reports by opinion polls ensure that government and electorate do not diverge for long and that Washington generally reflects the majority opinion in its actions.

It is this feature that intellectuals--especially in Europe--find embittering. They know they must genuflect to democracy as a system. They cannot openly admit that an entire people--especially one comprising nearly 300 million, who enjoy all the freedoms--can be mistaken. But in their hearts these intellectuals do not accept the prin....

Response to: is freedom a good thing? Posted June 20th, 2006 in Politics

If you actually think things through to conclusion, it makes the most sense to have NO freedom. The best and most efficient society will be one that is ruled with an iron fist by some entity or other that has no greed or personal agenda - like a computer. People will be slaves and will be made to give their all in every community project - be it growing crops to feed everybody or building a colony base on another planet. People will appreciate every tiny thing and will know the meaning of values.

In a society with 'freedom' people simply persue hedonism and convenience until they are spoilt and obese. If you follow through the progress of humanity today to its conclusion, people simply are striving to be brains that just exist and experience any emotion or sensation simply by wanting it... and not needing to expend any effort whatsoever.

High ranking Scientologists in the US govt and legal system were able at one point, to get google to remove all links to that operation clambake site. But due to the subsequent outcry from users, google put it back.

Scientology is just pure, utter evil. You can read up most of the facts on wikipedia, but be warned - it's disturbing stuff :/

I really couldn't care less whether it's a stranger from here in the UK that died, a stranger from the US, or a stranger from Easter Island. The fact that people DO obviously care more about "their fellow countrymen" to me shows that there is a very real belief these people are somehow 'different' to the others. Of a different quality, either better or worse. Just because they are of a certain nationality?

Fucking blatant racism tbh.

American kidnapped? Who cares. Posted November 30th, 2005 in Politics

I want to know if this pisses anyone else off. In the recent kidnapping of 4 people in Iraq, I see a trend where the media in some countries only care about their own people. Here in the UK, all we hear about on BBC news is "Brit kidnapped" as they show the video of the FOUR people. And going onto Yahoo.com news, the headline reads "Virginia man among four kidnapped in Iraq".

It's the same with disasters like 9/11 and the Tsunami. I'll hear "129 Brits among dead" or something. It just pisses me off because it sounds like all the other people don't matter, or perhaps these people's lives are worth more because they were born in the same country. To be honest, in todays hyper-politically corect media, it surprises me they'd say things like this - although it's considered normal.

Does this piss off anybody else?

Response to: Missiles Posted October 28th, 2005 in Politics

Yeah, Iran shouldn't really produce nukes. But the UN should let them have frickin nuclear power, and just keep an eye on them, that's all. Spies 4tw.

Many more lives would be saved if espionage was employed to keep Iran in check without anybody knowing, than invading the whole country just because a farmers outhouse looks like a chemical weapons factory from a satellite POV.

Umm, acually, when inspectors came back they clearly stated that if he wouldve had them (in which he was trying to obtain) then he surely would've used them.

Against the whole frickin west? Yeah right. He'd really win that war, why, he could conquer the world for sure.

He may have used them again against his own people - but that wasn't the reason for going to invade. The reason was the danger to 'the US and its allies'.

It doesn't matter how difficult it is. If it saves innocent lives, I think it's worth it for people to have to expend a bit of effort checking a country. And, it's NOT a no-win situation for bush. If he followed UN protocol and combed the country for the weapons Saddam never had and wouldn't have used anyway, there wouldn't have to be a war which saw the deaths of thousands of civilians.

- "Fires cant burn without oxygen" - This pretty much clarifies how terror can be defeated... i HIGHLY doubt there's any man, not even osama bin laden, if we captured would destroy the terrorists war effort. My only guess is that if we went into the holy land and held it hostage the terrorists might surrender but that's to risky. it risks a huge battle front going on in one spot.

Dude... wtf? Muslim doesn't automatically equal terrorist you stupid penis.

- Most of you beleive that sadam was a bad person... yet you disagree with going into iraq.

Most of us would agree that Bush is a bad person, but that doesn't mean the world should nuke the US back to the stone age. I think Blair is a bad person but I wouldn't wipe out half the population in an invasion to get him.

Go fight in a war. Then come back and say to me, "that was awesome, wars are GREAT!" after you've seen a young man sitting slumped against a wall - his brains in a pool in his helmet, still warm and steaming in the cold weather.

Wait, I've just thought of something more realistic. Find and watch the Nick Berg beheading. Your beloved war caused that. Watch it and immediately afterwards post here saying "THAT WAS AWESOME!"

By the way, if anyone actually does that I know you didn't watch it so don't try being clever.
