Does any one know how to get midi learn to work in fl studio through the midi out. Im trying to set on note press or something simple for fabfilter volcano 2 for midi trigger for the xlfo because the lfo's are not syncing with the song from start.

I would honestly love to switch from fl to live. I just find the mixer and sequencer to be awkward. I would ofcorse still use fl for the drum sequencing.

That's the point! To show off! It looks freakin' sick, the audience on Youtube LOVES it, and I bet it's fun achieving it, even if the sonic result is the same.

I mean, it's like saying, "what's the point of live DJ'ing if you can just map it before the show? Sounds just as good."

Live performance always adds extra brownie points.

I would also like to point out that you can instantly remix your song and make it longer or shorter. It's just full of win.

I love sound design, but I haven't done it professionally. I can show you a quick example.

I am happy you asked about chiptune's. I can help you with any question you might have. Fist though, Ill set you up with some standard vst's.

Magic 8 Bit VST
Famisynth VST

I would suggest playing around with noise to try to get some drum sounds. But like I said, any question you might have.

Response to: Why do you write music? Posted November 28th, 2012 in Audio

At 11/19/12 09:32 PM, bassfiddlejones wrote: I've been thinking about this for awhile. I'm sure we've all got different, completely valid reasons for doing what we do here. But why do you?

I think, for me at least, I can express things musically that I cannot begin to find words for. I find myself limited by words in most cases. Also, on a more superficial level, I love making music, and getting better at it. It's really fun. There is great satisfaction in sitting down to a finished creation, knowing how hard you've worked on it.

I write music because I'm addicted to it. You don't want to see me when I don't have access to FL Studio. haha

Iv been working on this track for the past 3 days. I'm no expert on DnB, (hence why I came here <3) but I do love the genre. I was thinking of breaking down into an atmospheric part with just the sub bass then going half time then finishing the track, but to be honest I'm not sure. Any criticism would be much appreciated.
