I just wanted to mention that I have (temporarily) taken on the task of refurbishing some old pages. I fixed up the page on the Star Syndicate and added info regarding the 2008 4chan Fandango virus fiasco.

Neil Weiner launched the "wickedly evil and vile plot" hoping to get Eddie Thompson sacked so that he could be promoted.

Haha, his name is Weiner.

But seriously though, the law needs to step back a moment in most cases, as many times people don't know they have CP on their computers and some even get it without their knowledge, as was the case a while back when a man tried to use LimeWire to download what he thought was adult porn but there was CP tacked onto the file. In short, just because someone has CP doesn't automatically mean they're a pedophile; the cops need to assess the situation thoroughly before springing to imprison the suspect. Innocent people have lost everything because of situations like these.

When I'm offended by something, I'm not afraid to say why.
For example, I get offended when someone says I can't do certain things because I'm a woman or because of my looks, weight, etc.

This.
There's nothing that pisses me off more than when politicians propose that the media (especially the Internet) be sweep-censored "for the sake of the children." This just leads to slow Web traffic, like OP stated, and when something innocent is blocked (i.e. the infamous Scunthorpe glitch) it's shrugged off and ignored "for the greater good."

Also every DS emulated game I've played has been about 0.75% slower then normal, and I get really agitated with Slow games.

Same here. That's why I import games instead of emulating them.
It's slightly expensive (Pokémon Black & White are still available on Play-Asia despite the crackdown) but it's definitely worth it.

WARNING: they will NOT work on a non-Japanese DSi. A normal DS or DS Lite should be fine, as far as I know. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

They aren't even that naive anyways, they're a giant corporation, and they mean business. And fun. Mostly fun.

I wouldn't be so jocund about this.
This recent legal action is oddly reminiscent of the Church of Scientology's attacks on its critics, which in case you haven't noticed means something else is going on here. They're likely trying to silence us as retaliation for the ROM hitting the Internet, or worse.

Black and White are compatible with normal DSes, or DSis. No need for a 3DS just for this game.

What I'm questioning is whether the Dream World and Global Link can be accessed via a normal DS; if it'd DSi-only, I think I'm going to shoot myself.

The games are region-locked. Meaning if you don't have a Japanese DS, you can't play a Japanese game card.

Where'd you hear this? From what I know, only the DSi console is region-locked; regular DS Game Cards with or without DSi enhancement should play fine otherwise.
Example from this article.

As the DSi is not region free, a non-Japanese DSi won't be able run the game at all whereas a regular DS or DS Lite has no problem running the game at all, but obviously won't have the QR function due to the hardware lacking a camera or two.

Those are actually on par to the SFX seen in some semi-recent Japanese live-action films.
The 2009 Yatterman movie, for example, had CGI graphics that looked similar to those used in this trailer. Example below.
What makes me want to call bullshit on this is the fact that the cast doesn't look very Japanese. Only in Japan would they get away with making or screening a film like this. I do have my doubts, however, as I remember reading here a few years back that there was supposed to be a live-action Pokémon movie released sometime in the early 2000s, but 4Kids canned it because of a scene involving Jessie's hair catching on fire or something like that that would have meant an automatic PG-13.

A Live Action Pokèmon Movie?

One is a sweet lolita, the other a blonde nympho.

They fight crime.

What really creeps me out about this is that the art style is strikingly similar to that used in Powerpuff Girls Z. It's like Bubbles and Buttercup grew up to be a pair of slutty Charlie's Angels ripoffs.

I'm still watching it anyway ;P

Me too. I live in Texas and these stories about kids being punished like this are not new.
Texas, along with most other Southern states, has a problem with hyperconservative reactionary butthurts getting into school administration positions and fucking things up. When I was in high school, there was a story of a kindergarten-age girl being suspended for smelling her hands after a teacher applied hand sanitizer to them (again, the principal assumed she was trying to get high).

2) all the battle scences move fluently
3) the 3D effects move amazeingly

That and they're finally giving players an option of using kanji in the text.
This ought to clarify things a bit; I remember when I was playing through Japanese Platinum and I had reached the part where that one Team Galactic member planted a bomb near the Great Marsh, I translated the text wrong and thought he was just talking about a slip of the tongue. (The Japanese name for the Great Marsh is "Daishitsugen" and "shitsugen" means both marsh and slip of the tongue, depending on the kanji used.)
Also according to Play-Asia, Black and White are available for purchase starting on the 18th. Unfortunately, I don't know what "DSi Enhanced" means, so that may mean it's unplayable to anyone outside of Japan. Fucking racism *cries*
