This. It's all the same cookie-cutter R&B shit. Anything new and original is deliberately shunned and crushed by the record industry.

Uh, no? I said that because Dream World abilities are like events. It's impossible to use the Shadow Tag Candle on the DS because it's not out yet.

Hmmm, I'm struggling to piece together your line of logic.
So you can only use Pokémon's abilities during set periods of time, and then only from a DSi?

Yeah, that's pretty crazy. Healthy people could have a 33 inch waist no problem. This is a strange restriction.

The Japanese are known for having extremely unrealistic expectations in this area.
The ideal BMI for a female model is 12 in Japan, where in most of the West the minimum is 18. (Yes, there have been problems with this, as Anna Tsuchiya nearly died from malnutrition and her ex-husband Joshua Niimura actually lost his life.)

Lul, does that mean most USA people can't travel to Japan anymore?? hahaha!

Sadly, from the looks of it, the answer to that may be "yes".
Considering the Japanese police force's penchant for randomly stopping anyone who looks remotely "foreign" for no reason at all, they may have an extra excuse to persecute us.

From what I've seen so far (haven't touched the newer games yet but I know a few people who have them), they can only stop things that are blatantly hacked, like stats that go past the limit. I'm not sure what they could do when confronted with something that looks normal, since the people who are used to the mechanics could very easily make them so.

Let me tell you something from my personal experience:
My brother and I used an Action Replay to get all the rare event-only Pokémon, and when I tried to trade one away it gave me an error message saying "That Pokémon may not be offered for trade!"
So they are somehow able to detect whether or not a Pokémon is legitimate just by looking at its data before it's traded, which does not bode well for other issues.

Tonzra's ass is not normally exposed; there is a running gag in the series that in every episode the Dorombo gang members' clothes are torn up. What's more notable about this is in select episodes, Doronjo's breasts are exposed, nipples and all (original 1970s series only). And Tonzra and Boyacky both seem to enjoy it. It might, considering the Soldier's penchant for making a mess of things. Did you ever read The Cat in the Hat as a kid or see the TV special? The Cat wrecks everything in the name of fun (though unlike the Soldier, he cleans up after himself).

Also I couldn't help but notice that the expression on the Soldier's face (from the pic I adapted and posted earlier) looks almost identical to this iconic image.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I first got involved in Sonic fandom in 2002/2003 but gradually began to distance myself because a lot of Sonic fans are also furries or other fetishists. (Example.)

The fanbase is divided into three factions.
The first faction, classic fans; are the people who practically worship the classics and nothing else. They do extensive research on the classic games and know them well enough and emulate them in a fangame. These people hate Sonic 4, the physics and inertia is what kills it for them. They aren't like the classics. The homing attack is also met with hatred. I tend to call these retro "purist", they are by definition, after all. Retro purists ironically come off as the most immature, insensitive and emotionally spastic users I've talked to, and they're the older crowd. They bash on other opinions and lack reserved judgment, manifested from their lack of trust in Sega.

I never understood those people, though I've run into them wherever I've been (even here on NG).

The second faction, modern fans; are the younger kids who play and enjoy the modern games. These are where most of the typical NG accusations come from, but this faction is more respectable, they like the games and really won't flip out of someone else disagrees, they also defend Sonic 4 passionately. It's a safe bet to call this group "fanboys", but I've come to appreciate the company of them, even though they lack reserved judgment when it comes to Sonic 4 (and Sonic Colors), they are more optimistic, and optimism never hurts.

I started out this way, but have come to distance myself once again because the others in this category can be absolute fucktards in the face of a bad game. They're the kind of hyper-fans who will White Knight for Sega no matter what atrocity they commit, and I can't stand those.

The last faction, and the minority, the all around fans; I like to consider myself in this faction, from what I've seen (not from observing myself), this group of people seem to be the unheard voice of reason, most people I met who classify in this faction are calm, cool and funny. Overall enjoyable people to talk to. We may not like all the games, but we do enjoy both classic and modern games, these people actually are optimistic about Sonic 4, but we won't defend the game shamelessly. We have reserved judgment and although we look forward to enjoying the game, we save our final word--until next week actually. :)

This is where I stand now. I haven't bought a Sonic game in years (primarily because of the 4Kids debacle) so I haven't contributed much to the overall community.

Just figure that I pop in and see how you guys are doing, still on life support it seems.

Yup, we're still lurking in the shadows. We don't have much to talk about these days.

On a side note, I've come to believe that Ryan Drummond may have committed suicide. His website and official Myspace haven't been updated since early 2008, and there haven't been any statements or announcements regarding his whereabouts in a long time: no acting roles, no gigs, no nothing.
