Gather some friends and either.
Throw a party.
Throw a gay party.
Throw some kind of video game tourney.(Also considered a gay party.)
Throw a shit load of pillows down and jump off something high. bonus points if you break something. Combo if you land on the table and break your leg.
Grab some kind of lid and fly down the stairs on top of it if you have any stairs.
Go outside and stack things up in some kind of hilarious manner that tickles you.
Maybe build some kind of horrible retarded structure and stick it in the lawn.
Do anything you couldn't do with your parents home. The sooner you realize how boring it is after 2 mins the sooner you can move on to try something a bit more entertaining.
I guess I'm stuck now. There are some ideas off the top of my head.
Invite that girl/boy over that you like and have sex?

I feel like the discussion was dead before it started.
This isn't even newsworthy let alone make a thread with a link.

It could.
It's very different depending on the said persons schedule. Do they sleep as well as they think? Even if you sleep for as long as you should it's possible you're still not getting a good nights sleep. If you're one of those people who spend there day without much of any energy output. It wouldn't be surprising for someone like that to always feel tired and/or get depressed no matter what.

I mean, whats the big deal? Its just the body, we've all seen it, and we all have it, so whats with the big fuss? If its 90 degrees out, I don't care about what people think, I wanna strip down, go outside and walk around.
Just because you have seen yourself naked doesn't mean anybody wants to see you naked bud.

Medication.
Tea.
Making sure i tire myself completely before the days over.(lol)
In case you're wondering i go to bed at about 6-8 and wake up at 12 and sometimes 5 on the worse off days. So i can't really provide master tips.

Haha nah i got that i just didn't understand the "warez" part.
When you get to the really expencive productions, I belive PT is still the software mainly used. Don't know exactly all the reasons for this, but I belive that there are quite a few high-end mixing consoles that are customized to work with PT mainly.
Ahh i see, thanks for clearing that up. i don't know why but i just always hear people putting pro tools down and I'm always saying to myself "What the hell else is out there?!" i figured there had to be some kind of mystery program all these other bands were using if not pro tools.
In my comment above I obv. wasn't trying to diss FL as a software, in comparision with PT it should be a nobrainer, unless simpicity is what you're looking for. And I don't agree that arguing about comparing warez is not leading nowhere, I often read people arguing, take both sides top arguments and compare myself, to GET that solid opinion. Noone but oneself can decide what's best for your needs.
No no no, not at all. I didn't mean to imply the statement was about you. You made a great point and i wasn't trying to say otherwise.(sorry about that.)
You also have a good point there as well. I think i should clarify that i meant more along the lines that people can like something so much more that when someone else claims it's better someones response is
"No shut up! MACS ARE FOR NOOOOBZ!"
I agree that when you throw a few bright people in a room arguing over things and providing real information it's nice to see both sides of it.
So looks like its a fresh day and it's time to get back to researching.
If anyone knows anything about the vst question i asked in my last post. I still can't find any information at all on that.
At 1/3/10 04:02 AM, Tramps wrote: I bet magic-babe loves a bit of that.
dat self made jail bait?
Someone needs to look up a tutorial.
Also, try out reaper. The layout is straightforward and its not spiced up. You have to bring in your own VST's and synths and all (and hook them up manually), but that's what makes it so close to realism.
Sounds like a pain in the ass. But still I'll check it out :P
thanks for the suggestion. Getting to tired to continue doing research so off to bed for now.
Leaving with a question.
Is it possible to take plug-ins that came with pro tools and use them in another daw program such as cubase? (i know for vst's that weren't dished out with the program you can.) I.E. Take plug-ins off the ignition pack crap in pro tools and use them in a different daw. Take FL studios plug-ins and use them in a different daw.
Make sense? i figured there wouldn't be any reason not to allow that but you never know.
More like a bar lose in my case.
hey look that's the first 0'10'er i ever saw.

So i was wondering, do any of you know if it is a good program, any problems
really basically any information would be good
Have you used any previous versions of pro tools?
Also automatically assuming you mean "pro tools le 8." Which is the most common version for a home recording studio. It's a great program.
It's important that you understand you will need to buy other things like the mbox2 and whatnot to record into pro tools. Make sure you research it before buying. diving into it blindly could leave you screwed.
It's not to complicated to work. Depends on what your used to.
Tl;dr no real problems. Just make sure you know what you're getting into.
Actually it's a brilliant idea! It has no story line so the director could get really creative with the plot. It might suck graphic wise but I'd see it. I would like to co-produce this movie with you my good man!
No no no,
It's all about the horrible plot and horrible directing and gore. ftw!
Sounds cool and i almost believe you'll work hard on it so i can leave a proper review.
Besides that, what do we discuss?
I'm pretty sure if she says no to him he knows she's not interested dumb ass. It's not ridiculous, stop acting like you know everything about everyone and relationships because if you're on NG then you probably have no girlfriend.
What?
It's simple advise. Don't take it out of context buddy.
Op when are you actually take any advise and put it to the test? Unless i missed any updates you still have yet to get out and try.

Aw cmon what about all that fun angering grid space and tireless clicking?
Lol your "friends" hate you. That's okay. The only other friends in getting your music out there are other musicians.(people with huge interest in music or WIP.)
That's okay. My friends start to get uninterested when i show them thing after thing. I would suggest just trying to build up rep. This applies to youtube/facebook/myspace/newgrounds.
Give and be given. You won't ever get as much back but it's at least a start and it will help you.
Delete songs that really weren't that impressive. (Keep them on youtube maybe?)
This way people might not be intimidated by a huge list of songs with no idea what to listen to. (tl;dr keep a clean list.)
Last thing i can think of besides what was already said. Make a set-list of only your best songs and hand it out to friends. (don't spam.)
If you put songs in the advertisements threads. It helps to review other people. Message them and whatnot and try to keep up to date with what they have been doing.

I probably should have mentioned that i have tried FL studio. i was in a bit of a rush to get this thread out there before i left for the day. Which leads to the reason why i haven't put up a response all day. (sorry)
Fl studio is pretty good but it really wasn't my thing. i have to agree that it felt like a bit of a downgrade.
i wouldn't switch if i knew PT... basically, programs as PT, Logic, Cubase are top notch warez, and truth to be told they're rather similiar... I'd try to work on getting a better workflow in PT if I knew the program better. I haven't worked with PT in a few years, and tried Logic out for an intense period a little over a year ago, and what struck me the most is the similarity between these warez and Cubase.
I still use Cubase, since that's the program I know the best, and have the best workflow with.
Cubase was actually something i've been looking to try. I think that will be first on the list. i was hoping it was at least similar to pro tools. If i can create the same workflow in there then i would be satisfied. I know pro tools well enough but i feel like i've gotten to that point where its either not working for you, or it is. In my case PT is just doesn't feel right to me. i need to expand and see what i can compare it to. (if that makes sense)
What do you mean by top notch warez? Never heard the term.
I've always been really curious to try something new as people always compare PT to the audio standard but it's not exactly noted to the production of many famous bands. A few major producers and linkin park etc.
Always got pretty curious what it is people actually use and what else is out there. They made it seem like there were thing above PT.
Logic or Cubase are pretty much the only other things on the same sort of production level as protools, both of which have an advantage that no specialist hardware is required (except a computer running OSX for Logic, obviously)
That's what i was afraid of, I guess i'll be checking out what i can in the threads provided. Logic and cubase being first on the list.
Thanks for the info.
oh i guess i misunderstood the comment, because i agree, im just not gona learn PT until i go to college
I learned most of what i needed in the disc that came with it. Actually pretty easy to get a hold of besides all the advanced mixing techniques and whatnot. The switch from PT to FL and vise versa is confusing at first.
i thought it was like a "fuck FL studio that program is for nubs get a real DAW" comment, cuz i see those a lot when discussing FL
I hate seeing that. That argument always reminds me of something like.
PT vs FL.
WOW vs Runescape.
Mac vs Pc.
People get so busy arguing about the comparisons you can never really get a solid opinion.
Once again thanks for the answers and information.
-aw program for me? (Deciding to Use windows vista 64 bit)
Or link me to a thread where i could find a few.
What I'm looking for is something that can record audio as well as record midi drums and use vst's and whatnot. Something simple to use and just has a pretty basic layout. Tempo and meter changes of course.
There's gotta be better shit out there then pro tools.(even if only by opinions.)
Anything you guys can personally recommend?
