As with me. I'm a composer of mainly trance and house music. Contact me as well if you're interested. :3

Got through with making this remix. I'm sure many things could be changed, but I didn't want to make it overly complicated. Just clean and nice. :3

turn master fader down a bit? :v

okay for real though, here is my checklist for when i get unexpected clipping/volume increases:
are there any master effects/comps/limiters?
is the "Master Volume" fader at top left near file menu is on the default level?
is the "Master" channel EQ set to anything other than flat?
does the "Selected" channel fader in mixer window (always far right next to send 4) have no effects, flat eq and volume fader set to default?

also if you're double/multi-tracking or layering vox or whatever maybe just turn the levels down.

Generally on my vox channel in the mixer, I only have EQ2 and compressor (generally a weak compression, nothing that improves volume by a lot). Alone, it mixes well with the (example) pads and the melody, and hell even the bass line. But the moment I turn on the percussion send, it all clips.
I went to change the percussion EQ and compression and made significant changes, but after that, it still couldn't work with my vocals. The percussion works well with the rest, and the vocals work well with the rest, but the vocals and percussion can't work together. At this point I have no idea what the problem is.

(I never touch the Selected channel, so that's out of the question. I only EQ and master the Master channel after EVERYTHING is done, so the master channel is empty and untouched until completion.)

That's not entirely true!
I started out working with people and collaborating on multiple project before I became as okay as I am now, and I learned SO MUCH. It's probably what you need, so you can pick up tricks and stuff.

@OP, I soooooo wanna collab with you. Your Soundtrack demos are top notch, and that's saying a lot coming from an audiophile. xD

I know this probably isn't the proper place to post THIS question, but I want to know how to do it in FL Studio, not Reason 5 or other DAWs, so I'd probably get a better answer here than having a thread with Ableton and Cubase answers.

Clean up the quality of the wub, add a few C8 sine wave sirens, chopped 1/8, maybe sidechain it.

The more melodic the drop, the better, but don't write a melody with a drop. My only advice for dubstep drops, is don't ruin the mix with heavy bass, but don't be skimpy with it either. After that, it just comes down to solid work and playing around.

Music Producer Looking For Work Posted August 30th, 2013 in Collaboration

(Before I start, I'm linking my Soundcloud so you know what I'm about.)

Hey guys, TJ of The RE|INSTALLED Team here, just here for some work.
I'm a producer of 2 years. and an audio engineer for 1 year. I create mostly house music and electro music. I understand that these genres hold potential for video games and the sort, so I'm just wondering if anyone would like to hire me as a composer for a flash game, application (download) game, or just straight up any work.

You can reach me at sixplusthreeofficial@hotmail.com if you want to get official. (6PLUS3 Entertainment 2013, record label I'm under, though self-created and has a few signed artists).

I'm NOOOOOOOOOOT asking for money- I'm doing this free of charge. So just tell me if my services are required and we'll get acquainted.
Cheers.

Been trying to understand more about sound design and the audio engineering aspect of music production. Hopefully anyone who bothers clicking this link will like what they hear.
