Here's a question you probably don't get too often, and yes I already googled this and searched for it on the site.

How do you NOT do a wheelie in the drag races? I have a Dodge Challenger RT with 678 HP. No matter what I try, I can't keep the front end down at all. I've tried making the rear shocks as soft as possible in combination of making the front shocks as stiff as possible, and no luck. I've also tried setting the cam timing and boost pressure back to defaults to try to lower my HP back down to 678 (used to be 713) and thought that would help, but still, no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

HLS

Thanks for that, as it will probably come in handy, but it's not exactly what I'm looking for. I'm looking for .wav files preferably, and you probably know where I'm going with this.

Well I've been out lookin for some good, free, hardstyle samples, and I haven't had any luck so far. Yes I have googled it, so don't tell me to do that. I don't really need drum samples, I have enough of those, I'm looking for more samples along the lines of sound effects. Like distorted vox and cool synth shots and stuff like that. Any ideas?

What's a good speech synthesizer that can also sing different notes? I was originally going to use the speech synthesizer that comes with FL and then use a vocoder for the notes, but I couldn't figure it out.

So is there a nice speech synthesizer out there that is better than the one that comes with FL and can sing different notes?

I love your idea of a Hackintosh, I was thinking about it myself but never really researched on how to do it, plus my 2001 Gateway laptop doesn't have nearly enough sufficient resources.

And to TMM43, you can run FL on a Mac. You can run any Windows program on a Mac. You just need Bootcamp. I believe it comes with Leopard, so if you were thinking about running Leopard you shouldn't have a problem.

Do you want an authentic weighted key feel? If so your choices are limited, and more expensive.

Btw, USB is convenient, but MIDI cables seem to have less problems and latency.

I'm not quite sure on how to plug a MIDI cable into a computer, but I'd love to not have to deal with latency problems plus whatever other ones seem to occur with the USB interface.

I don't really need any sounds on the controller, but it would probably be nice.

And I'm not quite sure that the weighted key feel matters too much.

Yea my church has a lot of really nice equipment, including a very nice 32 channel mixer, and like someone above me said, we only use like 2-3 channels.

My youth director and I are working on getting my church technology oriented too. We're going on a shopping spree soon for a shitload of computers and hardware and all of the sort. Should be fun, since we have an absolutely huge budget dedicated to the area :D

Sorry for bringing back this thread, but I'm not so sure what midi control is.

Basically I'm looking for a big keyboard that I can use to record what I play in FL Studio, or any generic DAW.

If I need some sort of midi controller for that, then I'll need advice on that area. Sorry for being so noobish about this, I've just never had any experience with pretty much any musical hardware, I've been doing everything digitally.

Thanks a lot guys for the help. I'm kind of specifically looking for a 72 key midi keyboard, and if you could point out some nice brands for those that would be nice. I'll look into M-Audio, and that might be all I'll need to look into.

Also, if I don't buy a packaged deal and just get the keyboard, what other accessories might I need in that case? Cause I'm so sure that you can just plug a midi keyboard into a USB port, although I may be wrong.

Again, thanks for the help already provided, I could just also use a little more :)

I need a lot of help/advice here.

I'm looking to buy a very nice midi keyboard, probably with the most keys possible.

If someone/some people could provide a list of the number of keys available on midi keyboards today, as well as some nice brands, prices, and what other accessories I will need to connect them to a computer.

I'm doing this for a friend, and I'm not quite sure about what the computer's stats are, but I'm almost positive all computer have USB ports, so I'll just add that in there.

I'll be buying a new soundcard, videocard, some firewire ports, new RAM, and all sorts of other things for it, and I'm all good with those, although I could use some suggestions on some nice soundcards as well.

Thanks in advice for any help I may receive, and if you can think of any other advice I may need, please don't hesitate to add that in.

Yea I mean, you probably feel like you're directly inside the music. That would probably be the coolest thing ever. If I had that system, I'd buy two Elemental Designs 18" subwoofers for the stereo bass :D. I think they're 1300 watts each. That's what I call house shattering bass :D

See now I'm more of a movie fanatic, and 11 speakers and stereo bass would be absolutely awesome for me. Even though tuning it would be an absolute pain in the ass, it'd still be worth it IMO. I mean come on now, you can't get much better surround sound that 11.2, other than real life.

I wish I knew what 11.2 A/V meant, but I can say that that is some sick shit for taking full advantage of sound effects. As the guy said up there, psytrance or trance or techno just reverbing through your house and going from front to back. I'd be in love with it too.

The 11 means how many speakers/channels there are. The .2 tells how many subwoofers there are. Like in a 5.1 system, there are 5 speakers/channels (Left, Right, Center, Left Surround, Right Surround) and one subwoofer.

But there is little point in having more than one sub. Even if you have two playing stereo, you're not going to get much directional sensation from them - the wavelengths of the low frequencies subs produce are incredibly hard for the human ear to judge where they are.

Now that you point that out, you're probably right. But you'd probably have to actually listen to the system in order to make that statement.

This might be the coolest thing I've seen in a while. It's practically any audiophiles dream! An 11.2 channel A/V hub. That's right, .2! Stereo subs!! This could not be cooler. One hell of a powerhouse. Just take a look at the back panel in order to truly appreciate this.

Yamaha RX-Z11

Sells for $5,499. I'm in love!

For every good song that I would like to remix, I can never find a damn acapella for it. It seems like it's always that way. There's always other acapellas by the same artist for other songs, but never the ones I want, and it always seems the best song never has the acapella.

Is there some certain reason for this, like the artist not wanting to let other DJ's remix their precious songs, or is it just pure bad luck on my part...
