The only problem here is the general community. I feel discouraged to post because I usually just see crap threads that have been done many times before and contain a very limited body of text. Usually this thing is left alone as it does spark some kind of discussion, and to start banning for not detailed enough threads would send the majority of the community away.
Really, unless you can change the general community, there's nothing you can do for the BBS.
This.
So many people post simply to say - I agree with this post, like I have, but then do not go on to explain why they do, or even expand on the point. In threads, too many users don't read through the whole thing, and even if they do, they post something that gives no opportunity for discussion, and is basically a +1.
But yeah, it's mostly the community, not the Mods. I think the Mod team does a good job. My one complaint would be how different mods lock different threads due to their own personal feelings, but this was already stated in the thread, so I'll just say I agree with it too.
I personally post one-liners sometimes just for hilarity, sometimes due to laziness but never meant to spam. I think the mods can tell the difference between the two and ban fairly. I've not been banned in months for something I think unfair.
Yes, me too. If someone is constantly posting one liners, they should be warned by a Mod to give their posts more substance, and if they continue with all the one-liners they should be banned.
