Hello you! How do you do?

Response to: Art Collab: Game Trailer Collab Posted January 28th, 2010 in Art

I'm still working on it, yes.
Question is - what should I add?
Like people in the background? More details to the crystal thing?

Probably a bit of both ...

Cool, a personal writing thread!
I think a poem a day is a bit much tough ...
I know I wouldn't make it.

Nice poem! Any inspiration sources? Or motivation?
Anyways, can't wait to see what you'll make next time!

No real "glitches" but when I opened a image in a new category for the first time, it took a bit long to show up

Also suggestions are definitely welcome. Just know that I know piss squat about programing (it took me forever just to figure out how to do what minimal crap is there), and right now the site is still under construction.

Hmm, Since It's still under construction, I assume you are going to change the background?
I mean, It just looks so "flat". And those hyperlink texts as a menu ... Well, I know I'd change them. I bet you can just replace them with buttons instead. (or perhaps images?)

But good thing is: It's working. It may not be perfect or real fancy or anything, but it's working, and that's good enough for now.

Any pieces that you feel are weird and don't fit mention as well. Really I'm just looking for various ideas and suggestions, like how to organize stuff, make it flow smoother, enlarge or reduce image sizes, etc.

I see you like drawing glass/transparent/reflecting materials (at least there is alot of them). Perhaps you could just keep them together (not like a new category, but more like placing them next to eachother or something)

But as Cloudy said over here; You should make a layout design and stuff.

Forgot to say:
Yeah, I'd probably join, but I think it'd be pretty sweet if art were allowed as well.

It could be like people drawing how it would have looked like while travelling in time, or what kind of machine they'd imagine - not to mantion how it would work.

First I would grab the closest pencil and paper. Then I'd start sketching out some ideas for fun. Then I'd open photoshop (or gimp) and start drawing the poses.

At this point I think I would go to the internet to find references for their clothes. Then I'd start drawing the clothes on top of the pose sketch.

Then I'd color ...

Yes i exported it to .swf to the web, but not the .mov file?

How do I do that?

Embedding a FLV file on the web Posted January 24th, 2010 in Game Development

I made a .swf file containing .mov files. I embedded the .mov files with a player thing (like on youtube).

but when I tried uploading it to the web, the player wasn't there!
I added a preloader to make sure everything was finished loaded, but still no player.

It works when opening it in flash

The player has the words "FLV" on it in the flash window

Thanks in advance!

Well I dunno, a collab would probably end up with lotsa noob entries. And if not, it would probably be a bit monotone, don't you think?

Do you have any kickass, awesome, unblurred .png version in your inventory?

I second that.

I usually listen to alternative, electronic and maybe either of them combined with some rock elements ...
I can't stand metal or any of it's descendant and there's no way I could ever work properly while listening to it ...

Response to: Mighty Morphin' Griffin Rangers Posted January 23rd, 2010 in Art

I would recommend finding poses and references.
That way you can adapt the way the reference/pose is standing to your drawing, and then add flesh and bones!

It might not look as good in the beginning, but at least you won't be caught tracing again!

Also, practice makes perfect!
