try drawing guiding lines and outlines before drawing the final outline and then drawing

Yes they are, but the legs are proportionally correct, and only the head is oversized, also the proportions you drew does not match with the original CC in-game proportions (although I don't know if that's what you were aiming for)

As we creep up on the newly developed water hole in the barren wasteland that is the internet, we see a lone creature crouching over only what we can imagine is the remains of another art piece.

Our creature of interest today is Gumyious-addictous-coloriouses. This odd little critter , about the size of a average teenage Norwegian male, but of superior intellect and dexterity.

He spends his days laying in wait for an unsuspecting art piece to carelessly come up to there watering hole.

Water hole ... Nice!

The art is quiet, it thinks it hears a rustle and skitters a but, but it's nerves slowly relax, and it once again slides back in to a false sense of security. As the piece lowers it's head for a drink, the Gumby springs it's trap and lunges from the concealing and seemingly innocent text bushes.

What can I say ... I like text brushes!

It latches on to the poor things neck and wrestles it to the ground, the struggle is fierce and strong, but brief, and is soon over.

Oh, so I am an "IT" now?

The art lays there colored and vibrant as the Gumby slips back in to the text bushes, to lurk and wait for the next unsuspecting art to approach......

This interesting piece has a nice idea, but sometimes it gets a bit choppy, and the story is difficult to read. Next time focus on making the story flow, and make. Also beware of the punctations:
It's is a contraction for it is or it has.
Its is a possessive pronoun meaning, more or less, of it or belonging to it.
