I typically set the timer to 90 seconds, though the last series were 60 sec ones.
I've also changed to this site, mostly because I wanted to see some new faces. I try to do the class modes in the weekends when I have more time undisturbed
I wonder what ditto tastes like, and if it can change

I wanna get better at making recognizable faces - Until now I feel like I've been sketching the same face with slight variations over and over

im not an expert but i think you should push your values, right know there is little or no variation, i made a quick and dirty paintover to make the point. hope it helps and keep it up man !
Thanks! I lose sight over the values I'm using, and everything tends to blend together. I guess I just gotta pay more attention when painting like that.

What's your favourite part about pixel art, and what kind of pixel art do you want to make?

By value I'm referring to the brightness, make sure there is enough contrast between the elements to make them read against each other and the background.
Oh! Mr. Loomis I think I'm starting to see!
Some of the colours blend towards the background. I find it's helpful to check my drawings in greyscale to see if the values are conveying what I want them to. Afterwards, it's just a matter of pushing the values around so that everything gets a clear read.
I did a really quick adjustment to illustrate my point

I recently thought I'd be more serious about drawing and brush up on my own anatomy, I started doing gesture drawings, and I whole-heartedly recommend it!
A gesture drawing is a 30-120 second drawing from reference. The idea is you don't have time to analyze every part of the body - but you have just enough time to sketch down the fundamental idea. Here's two sites with different functions. Doing 30 minutes of gestures every day is a great habit for improving over time!
I am a graphic designer in the Norwegian air force.
I work almost exclusively with design for print, and I do stuff like patches, brochures, banner, roll-ups, printing, copying, etc.
I think everyone thinks like that, or at least has moments of thinking like that. I know I do.

Terrible! I can't draw, or even perform basic tasks with paws! Additionally, I'd lose decades of my lifespan!

I think the main problem is low contrast, making it look faded faded. Luckily that's easily fixed with an adjustment layer to bump the contrast back up!
I actually do just as much on paper as with the tablet per day, but it's more of a hassle uploading it.
I love the sense of volume in your characters - it doesn't look flat - I like it!
