Interesting, but unrelated...

Unrelated?
All of them are either question threads by OP, or links to quick google searchs on sound control.

Once you have learnt about trigonometry, coordinates, and spelling, i will help you.
Also, i wont help you untill you have filled 10 years, so come back in two years, and maybe ill help you.

Programming takes time. alot of time. ALOT!

alot

You have to understand the principles of arrays, variables, objects, coordinates, values, strings, numbers, pythagoras, sinus and cosinus.
After that you need to have fairly good control over the flash programming language, Actionscript. Things like functions, classes, objects, prototypes and inheritance must be easy for you to understand.

Finally, you need to make a design-document, consisting of all your ideas, screens problems, solutions and such.

You can then create a "zombi game"

Response to: help with stick figure animation Posted November 22nd, 2009 in Game Development

This is made with flash? If not, why is it in the flash forum?
Anyways, you should stick to a better program. If you want it to go faster, delete every 2nd frame

Response to: chowder style flash Posted November 22nd, 2009 in Game Development

Yeh, it's okay to remember old cartoons that you have watched before you're 15, but still. Cartoon Network watching should be keeped to a minimum.

Here, i made a test for you:
.fla (CS3++)
.swf

Response to: Can help me Posted November 22nd, 2009 in Game Development

Its easy, you just have to put this code on the main timeline:

_root.createAwesomeGame();

but, you just did!
isn't that all that counts?

Response to: Help me!!! Posted November 21st, 2009 in Game Development

Easy, on the menu frame, you just set the rightmost prefrences (on properties-panel)

And on the game screen you set the leftmost prefrences (again, on properties-panel)

Help me!!!

Response to: Trouble With Sound Volume Control Posted November 21st, 2009 in Game Development

Heres what you do:
1. Go to the "properties"-panel

2. Select "Costume" from the drop down-menu on "effect"

3. Move the knot down as much as you like. The two of them represents right- and left speaker.

I don't think anyone will.
Animating usually takes more time than making songs or/and loops. That is why artists usually are the one to request songs/loops, and not the other way around.

Response to: Damn it, Flash Posted November 21st, 2009 in Game Development

I am sorry, I don't know.
I use CS4, and i have never had any problems importing sounds, but still, stick to .mp3-files. They tend to be more reliable (for me anyway)

Response to: Audio portal submission approval Posted November 21st, 2009 in Audio

Just be patient.
If you cannot wait, send tons of tons of PMs to the audio mods, they'll probably speed up then ...

NOT
Response to: The Lazymuffin Draft Collab Posted November 21st, 2009 in Game Development

I don't think there is any set number of parts, so you could probably just join in as a whole part ...

But then again, I am not the collab organiser :D

Cartoon Network is the one channel you should never ever watch as a 15++ year-old. ever

EVER

I googled chowder and think I found him.
You probably have to make the clothes in different movieclips,
then animate them,
then copy the layer for the clothes,
set the texture on a layer below the copied layer of the clothes
right-click>>mask at the copied layer of the clothes and set the opacity of the texture if you wish.

Did you get that?
Response to: Need help!! Posted November 21st, 2009 in Game Development

This is the easy way, many people would probably say that you should use mask instead of making a huge aimning thingy, but i'm to lazy to explain how to use mask.

1. Make a MovieClip. The movieclips length from center to the left side should be a bit larger than the stages width, and the length from center to top should be the same as the stages height. (the same goes with right side, and buttom side.
Instance name of the movieClip could be anything, but say it's called "gunMC" (no quotes).

2. Type in the code on the picture. typing it gives you experience...

3. Add buttons to your stage in shape of people or shootable objects. Make them movieclips instead of buttons, because then you have more control.

More about MovieClips as buttons here
