Response to: Atheists are ignorant. Posted October 20th, 2009 in Politics

"Why do atheists know more about religion than religious people?" It's funny because atheists actually DO take the time to read up on theology and philosophy in an unbiased way while theists are typically only concerned with their own. I think that's a remarkable thing.

I think the best and simple answer you may be looking for is the fact that many who claim to be Christians aren't really Christians. But don't get me wrong, there are in fact a few genuine Christians, just not as many as you think. Kind of sad, really.

Where to start with Swift 3D Posted October 19th, 2009 in Game Development

Yah, Hi people. I recently got acquainted with this program called Swift 3D, which I intend to use it to import 3D models into Flash. But you know what the problem is? I'm such a noob at it that I don't even know how to even make a simple custom 3D model with it. I find it overwhelming to use right now too as I don't really know most of the commands. Its really intimidating.

I found a few tutorials, but some are brief, or don't give me any sufficient understanding on how it works. Does anyone know any GOOD tutorials (video preferably, but text is acceptable) that they recommend to help me get a good and comfortable start with Swift 3D?

I would really, really appreciate it. Thanks ;)

personally, I like the way my name is because of its uniqueness. Except sometimes I find that the word 'control' can make me sound a bit ambitious or a control freak. Which I don't really like a whole lot.

But hey, you can't always judge a person by his/her user name.

But *clears throat* I should probably stop talking about it and stick with forum topic.

If you need any AS help, I'm always open and ready to help with any AS at any time. And Harry, STOP BEING SUCH A GOOD WRITER XD

0_o A good writer? I just wish I could apply that skill when writing a script! Lol

And I really appreciate your offer to help, thanks. But I won't be needing the help now as I'm trying to work on a script and drawing characters for my next project.

I'm a bit weak on scripts too as English has never been my strongest subject. I hate English actually. er.....no offense to anyone for those who like English.

O.o o.O
Dude he's been ready this whole time XD

Yes, so if anybody has there parts ready, don't hesitate to submit it. And for those who aren't done and not working on their parts, please do.

I know it may be harder with the school back and all, but if you can spend at least an hour, or even half and hour in your spare time then at least you'll be making progress. I don't want to push anybody, but rather encourage you to get it done. This is suppose to be something fun to do, not a burdensome homework assignment. Be creative!

Because if you just wait later, wait later, wait later, the next thing you'll know October will have passed, then November, December, etc. We wouldn't want that happening. Its better to get it done sooner so it won't be hanging over your head anymore.

I'm only saying this by experience. Not trying to be an annoying blabber mouth. Please don't shoot me in the face!

I'm no pro or anything, but I'm also willing to help, or at least try to help anybody if they're stuck with their part. The last thing I want to be is an irritating hotshot. Just willing to help that's all. Don't ask me anything about actionscripts because I suck at that! XD

Or maybe I should just shut-up!

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted October 5th, 2009 in Game Development

Anyway, how have you been HarryControl? Any progress since back then?

I actually finished my part about three weeks ago, but was only able to submit my part just last week because my internet was down.

I haven't received any confirmation or feedback from Mikey that he got my part yet. I'm guessing he must be busy with his education or something.

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted September 28th, 2009 in Game Development

So, could someone give an update on what's going on here? Sorry, I've been gone for awhile. Has everyone submitted their part(s) yet?

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted September 12th, 2009 in Game Development

If I would of known there would be about half the collab members using Shadow in there part, I would of chosen a different character. But, oh well. Who is it to blame? Shadow is like one of the best opponents to go against.

er....my assumptions are right, correct?

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted September 11th, 2009 in Game Development

Hey guys! I've been back in business for about a week now. The problem is that I don't have that darn internet hooked on my computer. I have to get internet access somewhere else. I'm pretty much done my part. I just need to polish things up and make my library more tidy and organized so it won't be so hard for Mikey. (assuming that he's going to have a look inside my flash document once I've submitted it)

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted August 27th, 2009 in Game Development

Well guys, time is up for me as I need to pack my computer away for moving. I tried to get my part done before I left, but it seems I'll have to leave it until next week when I can back to completing it. I really appreciate your guys' encouragements. It makes it a lot more motivating to work on Flash. You guys are the best! Thank-you! ;)

Here's another update

I'm nearly done and making effort to try and finish this before its due. I hope I do, otherwise someone may have to finish my part or perhaps have to exclude me from collab. I don't want to drag you guys behind with me.

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted August 24th, 2009 in Game Development

Uh, guys, just to let you know, I'm not sure if having the collab done in the first week of September will work for me. I'm about to move in a couple of days and won't be having access to my computer for a little while. I could try and work my butt off to finish it or cut it short. I've only got today and tomorrow left.

Don't kill me, if I forgot someone or if I was wrong. >.<

No, you're right. I just assumed too much and opened my huge mouth where I shouldn't have. No offense, but why then is there Mario characters in the select menu? I'm kind of confused now. Unless maybe that select menu is for something totally different. Maybe I need to re-read the posts before posting.

and I do see your point now. I seem to be the only person using Mario characters. Maybe I shouldn't have them. But then again, I do recall Mikey (hope I spelled that right) giving me the permission to have Mario characters involved in my part.

And don't worry, I wouldn't even dream of killing you. You're a nice guy just trying to give a few pointers. Just hopefully I didn't say anything else stupid.

Response to: Are you proud of newgrounds? Posted August 20th, 2009 in General

eh....its hard to proud of website that has a lot of sick people in it. Don't get me wrong, I like newground's setup (mostly). Its just the people here that bother me.

Response to: .:Sonic Battle Collab:. /Thread 3\ Posted August 19th, 2009 in Game Development

Does anyone want to comment on it? Or is it just going to sit there like a DEAD FISH!? Lol jokes i'm programing it right now. Next time you see it, you'll see it is when it's done.
Bye!

lol, okay, I'll comment on your select menu. I like the idea of giving some information on the character's strength, healing, and health level. If I were doing it, I would add Agility and perhaps Speed too. And again, I like how you make your buttons have that bounce to them when you place your mouse over them. Although I'm starting to think this collab is turning into a Sonic AND Mario battle collab instead of just Sonic.

Epic win. Faith = believing in something without evidence, or something like that. I hope I don't get fuckin' flamed.

Romans 1:17 "For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith."

Png can be 13mil colors, they cannot animate but they have alpha transparency (semi transparent colors)

Gif's are usally smaller then PNG due to the limitations.

That's about it I think

So, should I be using Gifs instead of PNGs?

I've been wondering this for the longest time. What is the difference between Gif and Png files.? I'm usually told to use Gifs in my flash. But what about Pngs? They seem to work just about the same to me. Is there any reason at all why Gifs are recommend?
